Hi! I'm Tejas, a 32-year-old engineer originally from India, now living in Ireland for the past 10 years.

I'm someone who genuinely enjoys learning, exploring new places, and stepping outside my comfort zone. Professionally, I work as an engineer, but outside work you'll usually find me in the mountains, planning my next trip, learning Italian, or enjoying a good cup of coffee while taking in a beautiful view.

One of the most memorable trips I've ever taken was to the Dolomites in Italy. I visited Lago di Misurina, Lago di Braies, Tre Cime, and Cortina d'Ampezzo, and I completely fell in love with the mountains. That experience inspired me to look beyond traditional tourism and find a way to experience everyday life in beautiful places, which is what brought me to Workaway.

I'm a positive, active, and curious person. I enjoy hiking, photography, scenic drives, cycling, meeting people from different cultures, and learning new skills. I'm also learning Italian because I love visiting Italy.

For me, Workaway isn't just about travelling. It's about contributing, making genuine connections, sharing stories, and experiencing life from a different perspective. I hope to leave every place having helped in a meaningful way while taking home new friendships, memories, and a better understanding of the local culture.

Although my professional background is in engineering, I'm someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and learning new skills. I'm reliable, organized, and used to solving problems and taking responsibility.

I'm happy to help with a wide variety of tasks, including:

* Gardening and outdoor work
* General maintenance and keeping spaces clean and organized
* Helping with guests in a guesthouse
* Basic painting and DIY tasks
* Cooking simple meals and helping in the kitchen
* Housekeeping and day-to-day chores
* Looking after pets and helping with animals

I'm physically active, enjoy being outdoors, and don't mind getting my hands dirty. If there's something I haven't done before, I'm a quick learner and always happy to be shown the right way.

In my professional life, I've developed strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. I'm punctual, respectful of other people's homes and routines, and I always try to leave things better than I found them.

More than anything, I bring a positive attitude, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to contribute. I'm joining Workaway not only to travel, but to become part of a local community, help where I can, and learn from the people I meet.

A few more things about me!

I really enjoy cooking and trying recipes from different cultures. I find it relaxing, and I love the idea of cooking together, sharing meals, and learning local family recipes. If you have a favourite dish, I'd be excited to learn how to make it!

I'm also a big fan of board games. Uno and Phase 10 are two of my favourites, and I'm always happy to learn new games. I think they're a great way to spend an evening, have a few laughs, and get to know people.

Photography, exploring small towns and villages, scenic drives, hiking, and discovering local cafés are some of my favourite hobbies. I'm currently learning Italian because I'd love to communicate better with locals and immerse myself in the culture.

For me, the best memories come from simple moments: cooking together, sharing stories over dinner, playing a board game, going for a walk in the mountains, or watching the sunset after a rewarding day's work. Those are exactly the kinds of experiences I'm hoping to have through Workaway.
