Hi friends! Nice to meet you! 🌱☀️
My name is Mara, I'm a solo traveller from Argentinian Patagonia in love with the nomadic life... I have spent the last years traveling/volunteering/working in hotels, hostels, Airbnbs, castles, glamping accomodations, organic farms, family houses, social-ecological projects in Switzerland, Italy,Turkey, Ireland, Georgia, Wales, England, Scotland, Spain, Greece, France, Portugal, Morocco, Egypt, Armenia, Germany, Balkans, Eastern Europe... Throughout this time and journey life has given me experiencies and encounters that I will never forget and for which I feel absolutely grateful!
When I was living in Bariloche (a touristic city at the foot of the Andes range, in Nahuel Huapi National Park) provided tourist accommodation services independently running an Airbnb. I managed all the parts of the process: marketing, contact with customers, housekeeping, reception, tourist information, maintenance, etc., etc., etc...
I love (and need) nature, animals, arts, learning about many things, meeting and sharing with new people and old friends, experiencing the different possibilities of this wonderful life...
I try to have a way of life as respectful as possible of the environment, something in which there is always more to learn and do.
From the labor point of view, I feel very committed with my work and I am not afraid when it is demanding. Actually, it's how I'm used to work for myself or for others.
I'm self-taught with what I like and I seek to be more and more self-managed. Whenever I consider it possible, I try to solve my own practical problems myself.
I am a History teacher, although I no longer practice, and feel a passion for art in general, particularly, literature and music, but I also love crafts, painting , drawing, dancing...
I have participated in different projects of community work (social and ecological ones) in Argentina and abroad and, in addition to having taught me many things, they made me very happy.
I consider myself a calm, cheerful, very sociable and adaptable person, trying always to have a positive and respectful attitude in life, I really enjoy sharing with others (it's not just a way of saying!). I think that is one of the main reasons why I'm traveling and I find time and ime again that it's a source of great happiness.
On the other hand, I really enjoy and value my moments of solitude, in which I always find a wide variety of exciting things to do (even just to stop). I'm never bored! 😄
