Hi there, my name is Maddy and I am a nature-loving, fun and outgoing person from the UK. While I love the UK and it's beautiful landscapes and friendly people, I have always longed for new experiences and sights overseas. I know there is so much out there to explore!
I have a passion for yoga, hiking in nature, camping, music and meeting new people in interesting places. I would love to experience alternative ways of living, especially more sustainable lifestyles.
I am very comfortable around animals, my family has a cat called Mara, and I grew up riding horses ( and would love to try that again!). I am also very comfortable around kids, as I have a younger sister, two younger cousins, and would often babysit them and their friends. In 2020, I worked in France for 3 months as a teaching assistant in two secondary schools!

I studied French at university and travelled to the South of France on a year abroad to teach English in two secondary schools. This was a great experience to learn French and also learn more about my own language! During this year abroad I also learnt French at a university in Paris, but would like to practice more with native French speakers! I studied Spanish at school so have a good knowledge of this too - and would like to practice more!

Quais são suas habilidades?
I have experience working with children, as I worked as a teaching assistant in two French secondary schools. I regularly babysat for my sister, cousins and friends children, so I am very comfortable around kids!
I was a Scout and Explorer so have a lot of experience with survival skills, ie. building fires, shelter, cooking outside, sleeping outside, and with outdoors projects ie. building bridges, building boats, gardening, wood carving. A 'hands-on' attitude was encouraged from a young age, so I love to get stuck in!
I can speak French and a little Spanish and am very keen for a language exchange!
