Hi there! :)

I'm Lucy, a 30-year-old woman originally from Prague, Czechia. I'm living 'on the road' as digital nomad since 2023. I make a living as a UX/UI designer and frontend programmer, working as a freelancer. This job gives me nice flexibility to devote my time to whatever truly matters to me.

I've been dreaming about the nomad lifestyle for a long time. I started my nomad journey in Portugal, then I went to Spain, New Zealand, Australia and Asia. My next journey is Latin and South America - starting in Costa Rica. I enjoy traveling slowly, immersing myself in new places, meeting locals, and embracing different cultures.

Apart from traveling, I have many other interests. I'm passionate about hiking and camping. I love cooking, photography, art, architecture, design, snowboarding. I also find joy in reading, gardening, philosophy, and practicing yoga. And let's not forget—I'm a huge cat lover! In fact, I'm likely to have a cat shelter in the future, and I even choose my destinations based on the density of cats.

Quais são suas habilidades?

COOKING
Cooking is my absolute passion in life. I can prepare a variety of cuisines (Mexican and Thai are my favorites). I also enjoy creating healthy vegetarian and vegan dishes. I'm experienced in cooking for larger groups, even up to ten people. In Prague, I used to host dinners for my friends and received a lot of positive feedback on my cooking skills. I'm very interested in gaining professional experience in the gastronomy field.

GARDENING and HOUSE MAINTENANCE
Gardening brings me great joy. In the past, I cultivated numerous houseplants and took care of the garden at my family's cottage, where I also undertook various small carpentry projects. I find manual work to be relaxing and rewarding. In the future, I'm very interested in learning more about permaculture.

DESIGN, IT, PHOTOGRAPHY
I have a bachelor's degree in Multimedia and a master's degree in New Media Science. I work as a freelance UX/UI designer and programmer, always eager to share my expertise. However I'm still a junior in this field. Photography is my hobby, and I have some university background in the subject.

PET CARE
Being an animal lover, I have always enjoyed pet sitting for my family, colleagues, and friends and I also did many pet sitting fun via TrustedHousesitters.

CUSTOMER SERVICE and HOSPITALITY
I have previous job experience as a hotel receptionist, snowboarding instructor, and waiter. Moveover as freelancer, I know how to achieve client satisfaction. As a designer, I'm emphatic and used to see things from the user's or client's perspective.

SNOWBOARDING
I have worked as a snowboarding teacher in the Czech mountains for three years and I hold an APUL snowsports teaching license. While I can also teach skiing, snowboarding holds a special place in my heart.
