Hi, I'm Kel and I'm from the United States. I've just graduted university and I am excited to be travelling through Chile and Patagonia for the foreseeable future now that travel restrictions are easing up! I studied psychology and Spanish in university. I love hiking, horseback riding, music, and I'd love the chance to work outside during my workaway experience. I have a lot of experience with cooking, hospitatlity, working in the outdoors, and working with kids.
I am also a quick learner and a dedicated worker—I can talk more about my past work experiences if you are interested! In the past I have done workaway in Peru and Colombia, and with each experience I learned so much and made wonderful connections both with hosts and other volunteers. And my Spanish-speaking ability grows with each trip I make. I like workaway because I want to be able to contribute to others' projects as a way of learning about other ways of life.

I’m coming to Chile, and to Patagonia especially, because I’m astounded by the beautiful landscape and the rugged, remote culture in Patagonia. I think there is a lot of beauty to be found in living independently, connected with the land and with the small, unique communities that form in such a landscape. I hope to find a workaway experience in which I can learn about the Patagonian culture further.

Hola, me llamo Kel y soy de los Estados Unidos. Acabo de graduar de la universidad, y estoy entusiasmado para viajar por Chile y Patagonia, ahora que las restricciones de viaje están quedando flojos. Estudié la psicología y español en la universidad. Me gusta caminar en la naturaleza, montar a caballo, crear la música, y me encantaría la oportunidad de trabajar afuera durante mis viajes con workaway. Además, mi habilidad con el español crece con cada viaje que hago. Elegí viajar por workaway porque deseo contribuir a los proyectos de otros para aprender sobre los estilos de vida diferentes.

Voy a Chile, y a Patagonia especialmente, porque me asombra el paisaje bello y la cultura duradera y remota. Creo que hay mucha belleza en vivir independientemente, conectado con la tierra y con las comunidades pequeñas y únicas que forman en estos tipos de paisajes remotos. Espero encontrar una experiencia en workaway en que puedo aprender más sobre la cultura patagónica.

I am experienced in animal care, child care, horseback riding, some conservation work, cooking, cleaning, gardening, communication, helping with computers, interacting with tourists, and teaching.
