Descrição
We are Katie and Zach, an adventurous young couple from Alaska. Katie (28 years old) is a recently licensed land surveyor that was born and raised in Alaska. She loves birding, skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, and live music! She has dedicated many of her winters to traveling outside the country, meeting new people and exploring new places. She studied abroad in Ecuador, has spent months living in the jungle, and speaks Spanish conversationally (but always hoping to improve her language skills). She bought property in her hometown in 2018 and began the journey of building a small cabin and eventually a homestead with the help of family and friends.
Zach (32 years old) is a carpenter and fisherman who grew up in small town Virginia. He went to college for environmental science and began his time in Alaska fishing for his aunt during the summers. He spent 3 years living in Wyoming, dedicating his time to rock climbing and learning how to build. He moved to Alaska in 2020 and has worked a variety of jobs in the carpentry and fishing industries since then.
We live a simple life in rural Alaska in a dry cabin (no running water). We have gone on many wild adventures from the mountains and glaciers of Alaska down through the deserts of Mexico. We love to travel in the winter to escape the darkness and find some sunshine.
We are strong, capable, flexible, easy-going travelers who are willing to help out on a variety of different projects. We have both spent time working on farms, and have lots of experience with building and construction projects as well as general manual labor. We would love to come spend time with you on your land, learn about your life, help out and have fun!
