As a person, I find myself a keen and passionate adventurer who finds the motivation to explore and have the chance to experience and discover new sensation, culture and taste. Traveling is one of my original motivations, and a key to my happiness, as there is a whole world for me yet to be discover that has existed outside my bubble. The feeling of new discovery and the urge to learn about a different place , people and it’s customs enhances my imagination power and creativity. Next to my interests in traveling, I enjoy working in outdoor environments, where I have gained and developed confidence in the area of animal/wildlife care to which I wish to pursue my career within this industry. After having studied an equine and animal management course in England over the last few years, as well successfully completing my HND in Wildlife Conservation last year, I am now more eager than ever to engage in new experiences working in different parts of our natural world.
I also have a passion in cooking, having previously worked in various kitchens and working closely alongside the head chef. I am eager to learn and understand more about the role and would like to
seek more dynamic, challenging and fast paced environments in future.

Quais são suas habilidades?

My passion for travel has led me to leave my home country to work and study abroad when I was 16, encouraging me to acquire new experiences in different industries which left me today with a great set of skills and knowledge I have built from previous jobs and experiences. This includes being a great listener and communicator, the ability to learn from people with different culture and language that are different from my own. What also adds to my cultural competence is my language skills, being fluent in Portuguese (growing up in Portugal), English and German (my nationality) which has allowed me to identify different languages based on accents and vocal mannerisms in an international setting. As a team player, I have built empathy skills that have put me in other people’s positions, having immersed myself in the places I visit and learn about the way of life from other people’s perspective. I am a quick, adaptable and flexible learner, which is useful to deal with when it comes to stress management that may cause small inconveniences along the way.

Having grown up being an outdoor person, my main hobbies and interests included horse riding, where I have had around 14 years of training, competing and handling them in Portugal, as well as working in parts of France, Germany and England. Aside for my love for horses, I enjoy working on farms, such as in Australia where I gained experience handling different animals like kangaroos, deer, pigs and much more. I also have gained great interest in working with dogs, as part of my work experiences in Australia and Portugal have allowed me to handle and provide care in different areas, such as boarding kennels, sanctuaries and breeding farms. Next to my passion for animals, half of my work experiences included plenty of hospitality work, such as waitressing, bartending, cleaning and cooking.
