Hello!

Nice to meet you, my name is João Paulo Franzoni and I am a Family Doctor by profession.

I am Brazilian, 34 years old and a descendant of an Italian family.
I currently live in Curitiba - Paraná, in the south of Brazil, but I have lived in a few different cities here in Brazil and I am always open to new changes, to get to know other places, other cities, other cultures and other lifestyles. I am very adaptable, I have a free spirit, and I have a great attraction for the "new" and the diversity.

I've had the opportunity to live in both big cities and small towns and I can say that, just as I love the infinite possibilities of experiences in big cities, I also love the calm and tranquility of small cities and the countryside, since contact with the nature is something that feeds my soul and makes me extremely happy. I love animals and I have a dog (who I call my son) named Snow, an almost 9-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who I love unconditionally.

I have always been passionate about exploring, studying, discovering, knowing, and uncovering the unknown. Since I was little, I have been very curious, and it leads me to try to discover different places, different cultures and different people. I am always open to learning and developing new skills. I really like expanding my worldview and being able to see the world through new and different perspectives.

Because of all this, one of my biggest passions in life is traveling! Not with the intention of just superficially getting to know some new place, but rather to connect deeply with the people and the local culture.

I'm passionate about languages! In addition to Portuguese, which is my native language and which I love very much, I speak English and German. I am currently dedicating myself a lot to improving my German, which is a language of extreme interest to me. Both the German language and German culture, history and geography are inspiring to me!
I lived in Munich for 1 month in September 2023, doing a language exchange. It was a wonderful and transformative experience!

I have always been very studious, disciplined and dedicated. I'm very good at learning and also teaching (I always helped my friends with their studies, both when I was in school and in college and postgraduate studies). I have many friends and I am very sociable. I love connecting with people and I'm not shy at all.

Despite already having a degree and working in medicine in Brazil for more than 10 years, I am interested in developing and exploring new skills. I'm not afraid to explore different things, even things that have absolutely nothing to do with health. I'm always open!

I'm still a newbie here on the Workaway platform, but I still hope to have wonderful experiences and build great relationships here.
