Growing up in Botswana, I had wide open spaces and untouched bushveld on our doorstep, spending hours after school exploring and making hideouts, fishing, or interacting with kids from the village. My family and I love the outdoors and camping, experiencing the African wilderness on many school holidays and well into my adult life. What motivates me most is meaningful connection—between people, places, and idea. I find real happiness in learning how others live, work, and see the world, especially when that learning happens through shared experiences.

I’m naturally curious and openminded. I enjoy conversations that go a little deeper, not afraid to get my hands dirty, and always open to learning new things. I don’t need constant excitement to feel fulfilled; I’m happiest when I feel useful, grounded, and part of something—even in small ways.

Being in new surroundings helps me reconnect with what matters: creativity, personal growth, nature, and human kindness. I see myself as tech-savvy, technical and well rounded in a few trades, namely farming, electrical, woodwork, and mechanics. Professionally, I've worked in Digital Marketing, managing hospitality businesses, and real estate. My passions and hobbies include hiking and exploring nature, writing, photography, anything vehicle-related, property, and creative design.

I've previously volunteered at a eco-retreat close to Knysna where I was involved in veggie farming, building log cabins, hosting events, and vegetation clearing . I've au paired, done house sitting, and can cook some mean meals.

I'm seeking to get out of the city life for a few weeks/months, explore this home called Earth, and meeting some interesting people along the way, whilst offering my hands and mind in mutual exchange that can leave a positive impact on both sides.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I’m a practical, hands-on person and enjoy learning by doing. Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects at home and in outdoor settings, and I’m comfortable taking initiative, following instructions, and seeing tasks through properly.

On the practical and manual side, I have solid experience with woodworking and general DIY. This includes painting, basic carpentry, building small structures, installing blinds, repairing furniture and household items, basic plumbing, bush clearing, and garden work. I’ve also worked on electronics, assisted with solar system installations, fixed cars at a basic mechanical level, and helped build log cabins. I’m careful, methodical, and respectful of tools and materials.

I’m experienced with hosting guests and understand the importance of cleanliness, communication, and creating a welcoming environment. I’ve done house- and pet-sitting, and I’m comfortable caring for animals and maintaining a property while owners are away.

I’ve worked with children as an au pair (ages 5–15), helping with daily routines, activities, homework, and general supervision. I’m patient, calm, and reliable, and I take responsibility seriously when working with families.

I also have experience in outdoor and nature-based activities, including guided nature walks, off-road driving, bush work, and conservation-related projects such as vulture counting, invasive-species, etc. I enjoy physical work and being outdoors and am comfortable in remote or rural environments.

On the digital side, I have professional experience in web design, digital marketing, social media management, and content creation. I can assist with websites, online presence, basic branding, photography/video content, and improving communication or outreach for projects that need it.

Overall, I’m adaptable, dependable, and genuinely enjoy contributing in practical, useful ways. I’m happy to learn new skills, help where needed, and support hosts with both hands-on work and digital tasks.

Outside of work, I enjoy a mix of simple, grounding activities and creative interests. I like spending time outdoors, whether that’s walking in nature, working with my hands, or being involved in conservation or land-based projects. I enjoy board and card games and appreciate the social connection they create—anything that brings people together around a table, from classic games to strategy-based ones. I also enjoy reading, learning new skills, and having thoughtful conversations in the evenings after a productive day. I’m comfortable both in social settings and with quiet time. I enjoy shared meals, storytelling, and exchanging ideas, but I also respect personal space and routine. Music, simple cooking, photography, and creative problem-solving are all things I naturally gravitate toward.

I have a strong interest in sustainability, practical living, and systems that help people live more consciously and independently. I’m always curious to learn how others do things differently and enjoy adapting to new environments and ways of life.
