Hi everyone!

I’m Jenna, I’m 21, and I’m from New York City.

I currently split my time between traveling and working in the film industry and I am so excited to go on my next adventure! I love to learn people's stories, share experiences with strangers that turn into friends, and have fun while learning more about myself, other cultures, and the world.

Last year I went on my first solo trip and it was amazing! Through Workaway, I worked as an All Around Volunteer at a pop up campsite in Munich during Oktoberfest. Then I headed to Italy where I volunteered at YellowSquare hostel in Rome and went on to backpack through about ten more countries across Europe. It was an absolute blast and all I can think about now is doing it again!

I'm so excited to continue getting out of my comfort zone and immersing myself in new places. I'd love to get to know different kinds of people in a melting pot environment—growing up in New York has made me love being in diverse, interesting places and I want to be in an environment that challenges me and allows me to learn loads of new things about myself and others. I'm also a history buff and am excited to dive deep into both cultural landmarks and people's personal stories of the past and present.

I love to have fun, but I also want to be as helpful and beneficial to whomever I’m working with as possible, so we can both get as much as we can from the experience. I am organized and very skilled with communication, I pride myself on being able to talk to anyone! I am also a quick thinker who is always willing to find creative solutions to any problem that could turn up. I’m extremely social and I love to meet people and make sure everyone around me is having a great time! I thrive under pressure and as a filmmaker, I'd would love to help with any kind of social media or filmmaking efforts you'd need, I'll always have my camera ready. I am creative and love thinking outside of the box, and I can absorb information like a sponge, so I'll learn anything I need to know on the job quickly and with a good attitude!

Quais são suas habilidades?

Last Autumn, I started doing hostel work and learned a ton! As an All Around Volunteer at a pop up campsite in Munich, I greeted guests and lead them to their accommodations, helped foster a friendly and open hostel-style environment, and assisted with housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, and organizing sleeping areas. Then, while volunteering at YellowSquare hostel in Rome, I assisted with reception, greeting guests, and leading and planning events while making friends with everyone there!

Through those experiences and my work history back home, I have been able to develop strong communication, organization, and quick thinking skills in addition to a willingness to work hard and an eagerness to please.

As a film professional, I have done a lot of work on film sets which has given me a lot of stamina from working 10+ hour days and has made me very good at problem solving, adapting to any situation, and working on a team. I can also make video content and help with social media promotion.

I also have experience in the service industry, having worked as a server at a restaurant in NYC. This taught me good customer service in a fast pasted, bustling environment.

If I appear to be lacking any skills, have no fear! I am an extremely quick learner, and am always happy to develop new skills quickly on the job. I really love to learn and am excited to learn from whoever I stay with.
