I love the outdoors and I am passionate about our oceans. My favourite activities are snorkeling, diving, water sports, hiking, waterfall and sunset chasing.

Travelling means for me to explore, engage and immerse in different ways of living, gaining new perspectives, and learning about cultures (and yourself) all over world. My first big trip that gave me the ultimate travel bug happened in 2017. After finishing my bachelor degree, I decided to take a break from my 9-5 life, ordered a backpack, and flew off to South East Asia. I immediately fell in love with the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, the welcoming people, the street food, and the sense of adventure that startet to grow inside me from the moment the plane touched down. I ended up staying 4 months, backpacking through Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia. After coming home, I immediately started to plan my next trip, I volunteered with a marine conservation in North Bali to help protect our beautiful oceans, got my diving license, and eventually ended up doing my masters in Canada, where I was introduced to workaway for the first time. After finishing my studies, I worked as a teacher for a while, but started to realize that something was missing. As a result, I thought of the time I was my happiest self, and this very first big trip came to my mind immediately. Travelling - what a great way to grow, acquire new skills, see and learn something novel every day, meet like-minded people, and make real connections for a lifetime. Most importantly, I want to give something back to the local communities, offer a helping hand where I can, and have a positive impact on people along the way. In my mind, happiness is having the opportunity of following your dreams, freedom, and seeing a positive change in something/someone due to your actions.

Diving/Marine Conservation
I have a Padi deep adventure license that allows me to go to a depth of 30 meters. In the past I worked with a marine conservation in North Bali to rebuild a destroyed reef off the shore in Tianyar. My team was responsible for building and deploying structures into the water that would help corals grow and provide a safe hiding and living space for marine life of all kind. We also led and participated in regular beach clean ups together with the local community to bring the collectibles to a recycling station that was built through the same project. There, we educated local children on environmental issues, brought them out to the recycling station to help and see everything first hand. The kids also learned English in the same school. I engaged in activities to sharpen their senses for sustainable living and how to protect their environment. Sometimes I would pitch in to hold a language lesson.

Teaching
I am a certified teacher. My main job in the last 4 years was teaching German as a foreign language to young professionals and adult learners. While volunteering, I also taught some English classes to kids in a local community in North Bali. At the moment, I teach online as I travel whenever there’s time.

Marketing/Content Creation/Sales
At my first job between degrees I worked in the marketing department of a famous german board game company (Pegasus). My task was to connect with influencers to promote our games online, create content for the company’s social media pages, promote the games at board game fairs, test new games, and participate in the development/set up of gaming events. I have my own go pro which I bring on my travels to record videos that can be used for your social media.

Customer Service
As a promotion specialist/hostess I worked at countless fairs, in hotels, openings of stores; I also volunteered for several festivals like the Elvis Festival in Germany or the Bluesfest in Canada where one of my tasks was the satisfaction of customers.

Work with animals
I absolutely love all kinds of animals and worked at a horse ranch in British Columbia; they also had cats, dogs, cows, and chickens - it was so much fun to take care of them!

House keeping/cleaning/cooking etc.
I myself like a tidy home, good cooking, and the smell of fresh sheets and clothing. I worked in cleaning with a company that is responsible for the maintenance of leather furniture, in privat households, and in house keeping for a guest house. Whatever needs to be taken care of in your home - I’m on it!

Gardening
I have over 20 houseplants at home and would love to have a beautiful garden one day to grow my own fruit and veggies; definitely eager to help you out in your green space.
