I have travelled with others since I was a child and travelled solo four times. I am currently on a working holiday in Austria and loving it so far! Some of my favourite past destinations were Luzern Switzerland, Edinburgh Scotland and Split, Croatia.

I'm so thankful for the travel experiences I've had so far and can't wait to have more. Seeing new things and learning about new cultures is one of my greatest joys in life. I have always lived in the city so that's definitely where I'm most at home- I love visiting museums and art galleries, finding local cafes and shopping spots, and seeing architecture different (and usually older) than what we have in Canada. That said, I love nature as well and hope to gain more experience hiking so that I can see even more beautiful sights around the world. I love going for a dip in local swimming spots as well.

Music is my other passion. I have a degree in classical voice but I have taken a break from singing and classical music the last few years. I hope to learn more about pop music production and performance.

I am an introvert and can be a bit shy at first, but I am still very open to meeting new people and would love to make good friends around the world.

I am keen to learn any new language but am particularly interested in French and Swedish. I have been taking beginner Swedish lessons for a few months now as well as using Duolingo. I am more than happy to help others with their English.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have volunteered on Workaway three times. I helped a couple in Liverpool, UK weed and prepare their garden for spring, and took care of a sweet cat in Padova, Italy. I also briefly ran a cafe at a Bhuddist centre in Sheffield, UK which was an amazing opportunity.

I have a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from the University of Manitoba. I studied art song, opera and musical theatre during my degree, the latter being my favourite! I had the opportunity to take some Italian, French and German diction (pronunciation) which definitely helped me on my travels! As the President and the Treasurer of my faculty’s student association, I planned and orchestrated events, created schedules and budgets, and embraced the opportunity to be a leader.

I have worked in customer service for ten years, most recently at Starbucks for three years. In my time there I have been both a barista and a Shift Supervisor, meaning that in addition to making drinks and taking customer orders I also scheduled employee breaks, took inventory and made product orders, and led my team in providing high quality service.

I also worked as an administrator at the Winnipeg Conservatory of Music. I corresponded via email with students of all ages and scheduled their music lessons. The school hosted many recitals, coffeehouses, and other events which I helped to set up, facilitate, and tear down.
