I have done lots of volunteering in WWOOFing and Workaway type set ups, across Europe. I love the routine of working the land and am used to hard work, getting my hands dirty and living simply. I have had a long time passion for better food and food systems, including farming techniques and and community action, local food etc. In recent years I have been working as a farm environment advisor in Gloucestershire, England. I'm friendly, easy going, and probably have some knowledge to give, as well as lots to learn! I sadly only speak English but I am very keen for that to change! I used to know some French and Spanish, and would love to learn Italian. I am not quite sure where I will end up in my coming travels but intend to make a big effort to learn the language of where I am.

I have just quit my job because I want to pursue my passion for local, good quality food in a more practical way. I am open to most land based jobs as I am aware that on small farm you often need to do a bit of everything. But my main interest is in making products from the land, adding value to the raw material and making something delicious for people to eat or drink. At home I do this lots with foraged food (fruit wines, chutneys, ferments) and for a while I was making fresh goats cheese. I am mostly interested in volunteering at places that are making products out of the things they grow (e.g., cheese, cured meats, wine/beer, etc)

Basic carpentry/building, cob building, gardening, some permaculture design experience, cooking, living a bit rough, and lots of stamina, energy, and readiness to be taught what I don't yet know how to do.
