Hi! I’m Ilaria, 18 years old, currently taking a year to travel the world and experience different cultures. I will graduate from high school (Abitur) this summer before starting my journey.
I grew up in a small village in Germany with Italian roots, so I speak German and Italian fluently, as well as English and Spanish. Growing up close to nature made me appreciate the outdoors, and I love spending time outside—whether it’s hiking, exploring new places, or just enjoying a slower, simpler way of life. I also grew up around horses, which gave me a strong connection to animals from an early age.
I’ve been working since I was 14, which has taught me responsibility and independence early on. I’ve worked as a babysitter, tutor, waitress, and most recently as a bartender in a club in Frankfurt. I also have experience as a dog and cat sitter, so I’m very comfortable taking care of animals. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to connect with people, stay organized under pressure, and adapt quickly to new situations.
I’m very open-minded and always eager to learn new skills. I’m especially interested in sustainability, veganism, politics, and feminism, and I enjoy meaningful conversations about these topics. At the same time, I’m easygoing, positive, and happy to help wherever I’m needed :))
