Hello! My name is Gaia, I’m from Argentina, and I’m a qualified EFL teacher. In January I'll be in London doing the CELTA course, and after that I want to stay in the UK for some months in order to explore British culture and further develop my English.

I consider myself a sociable, adaptable, and curious person who loves learning about almost everything. I love connecting with people (no matter the age!), having deep conversations, and laughing a lot. Furthermore, I enjoy outdoor activities, being surrounded by nature, learning to connect with animals, practicing yoga, reading, painting, crafting, cooking, learning new skills, and I’m passionate about communicating in different languages!

I grew up in a family where sustainable living, healthy eating, and respect for Mother Nature are fundamental values. It was with my family that I gained hands-on experience in raising chickens, tending a vegetable garden, and creating handcrafted products. My interests have since expanded to include ecological and sustainable construction, yoga, animals, plants, food self-sufficiency, and teaching. These passions have led me to live and work abroad (Spain, France and Brazil) and to participate in several meaningful volunteer projects, such as working with children in Brazil, helping build an eco-house in Belgium, and creating biofertilizers in a biofactory in Argentina, among others. 🌞🌱🌄🌈🌍🌎🌏

Since English is my main tool for work, I’m seeking volunteering opportunities where I can immerse myself in the British culture, learn from the people and environment around me, as well as polish my English... while sharing my Spanish with anyone interested!

Something important to point out is that I work online, so I would need a stable internet connection and a quiet space during my working hours.

Quais são suas habilidades?

⭐ Fluent in Spanish, English and French. Some knowledge of Portuguese and Italian.
⭐I have experience working with children in different settings. When I was younger, I worked as a children’s party animator, organising games and activities and ensuring that children felt engaged and supported. More recently, I worked at a language school teaching English to five-year-old children, developing age-appropriate activities and creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
⭐ A bit of horse riding.
