Hi there, my name ist Lea. I am a midwife living in Germany. In February I will embark on my first big solo travel experience, going around Australia and New Zealand for 3 months.

I think the best and most authentic way to really get to know the place and culture of my travel destinations is to meet up with locals. So that's exactly what I want to do: Meet lovely people from around the world and get a glimpse of their lifestyle.

I am a very active person and like spending time outdoors. I enjoy things like running, cycling, swimming weightlifting, hiking and am always keen on trying new activities. I would love to give surfing a go during my time in Australia. I also have a huge passion for music and artsy stuff.

My friends describe me as passionate, creative and radiant. I enjoy taking up challenges and try to always see the good in things.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Since my teenage years I have always been involved in some kind of volunteer work. I am part of the volunteer fire brigade, performing fire suppression and other emergency services. I also have a history of lifeguarding.

Additionally, I really enjoy working with kids. genuinely enjoy working with children. Their energy and curiosity bring me great joy, and I find it rewarding to be a part of their growth and development. During my studies at university I gave swimming lessons for children, as well as babysitting for a family in my neighborhood. I also train the junior group of my fire department. In addition to that, given my job as a midwife, I am very experienced in caring for newborns .

I have a huge passion for music. I started playing the piano at seven years old and haven't stopped ever since. Occasionally, I like to play the ukulele and have some basic guitar skills. I also love to sing. During my school years I have been part of an acapella group/choir. Most of the time, you will probably find me singing along to a song that is stuck in my brain :)

I am a big foodie. I love cooking and baking, preparing vegan and nutritious meals, and experimenting with new recipes!

Furthermore, I am passionate about arts and crafts and would be delighted to assist with any creative project you have in mind.

Generally, I am a pretty flexible person, always eager to explore new skills and push my boundaries. I am excited to learn from you and embrace new experiences.
