Hi I'm Eva, I am a biology student from Germany. I've been in Australia now a year (what was supposed to be a semester... it's just too darn beautiful here) and now finishing my bachelor with my thesis in marine biology.

Even though I have loved the ocean since I was little, I only started to focus on marine biology in my degree since coming to Australia (one of the main reasons I came in the first place:))
I've always loved nature and especially the ocean, wanted to conserve it and work actively towards a better, climate positive and fair world for all. I've been active in multiple environmental groups (greenpeace, fridays for future ...), worked on sustainable projects and started studying biology to understand the world we live in.

Other than that, I really enjoy reading, yoga, riding my bike (even tho the hills in Sydney are killing me), swimming, snorkling, hiking, camping, meeting new people, exchanging experiences, stories and ideas... I really would love to learn how to sail and dive, learn more about organic farming and self-sufficient living, gain some handy skills about maintanance, building.... and so much more

Because I am on my WHV right now, I'd love to complete the 88 days whilst combining it with things I love. I really love the concept of workaway and therefore thought, why not combine it with the "days I need to to".

I've worked on smaller sustainable projects with workaway where I've helped with planting, harvesting, taking care of vegetable gardens, maintanance and gettign creative with natural building materials (we built a rocket stove or patched up a door), helped with the flooring of a house boat....
And I'm not exacerbating when I'm saying that some of my best memories come from workaway/ volunteering on exactly those projects!!
I'm looking for a project/ place to stay for these 88 days, but not just to "do my time" but to be part of your home/ place if you'd like, to help where I can, to learn, share and laugh :))

Oh and also, I am vegan since 5 years (vego since 10), but I am flexible, if for your place vegan is not managable!

Quais são suas habilidades?

Throughout my last workaways I´ve gained some experience in off grid living, manual work, gardening, planting, natural building and working in a team.
I also know a bit about how to take care of farm animals, my fathers family are all farmers.
Additinally I organised environmental youth groups in my hometown, where picked up some skills regarding working in teams and working towards a goal.
Through out the pandemic I taught myself and improved my cooking skills (I´m vegan) and I would say know ho to cook for groups.

But overall I am, keen to learn, I can work autonomously, participate and engage in (preexisting) groups and just help where I can! :)

So some extra info about me, i really do like card games, actually all kinds of them, I´m kind of a true crime fan, i would love to learn about yoga/meditation, i love to sing even when I´m kind of nervous in front of others, I do enjoy a beer or wine sometime ;) and i would choose camping in nature over a hotel any time!
