What’s good! I am Dobhran. I ran a small business focused on producing and managing event operations, but after years of high-paced work, I burned out and shifted into commercial fire alarm inspection, which I’ve been doing for the past year.
I’ve been a breakdancer for 12 years—teaching classes at local Colorado elementary schools, performing, and building community through movement. During college, I worked a variety of jobs: managing nightclub security, working as a handyman, and serving as a dance ambassador (basically hyping up and teaching dance in a club setting). I also volunteered my time as a janitor at local dance studios, and served as president of CU Boulder’s Brakin’ Club. Our main mission was to host a national breakdancing competition on campus—and under my leadership, we partnered with Red Bull, local studios, and even brought in international judge B-Girl Kate from Ukraine.
Before college, I stayed busy performing at events like Breaking Convention for audiences of 3,000, winning a state championship in lacrosse, and earning the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
In the years since, dance has taken a quieter role in my life as I’ve found new peace in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and solo camping trips.
I’m here on Workaway to give myself time to learn more about the world—and hopefully find a personal and professional place within it. People have told me I’m great at networking; I just like to make friends, stay loyal, and work hard.

Learning another language has been one of the biggest challenges in my life, and it’s something I really want to conquer. I’m especially interested in continuing my study of Spanish, as long as it doesn’t interfere with my work—because, honestly, it’s a tough journey for me. But I’m committed and eager to keep improving.

What I can offer:

Movement & Teaching: I’ve been a breakdancer for 12 years, and have taught classes at elementary schools and led workshops and dance events through college and beyond.

Event Production & Operations: I’ve produced large- and small-scale events, managed security teams, coordinated with vendors, and have experience keeping things running smoothly under pressure.

Hospitality: Experience serving guests and managing a bar security team, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Technical Skills:

Video & audio editing (light editing for events and promotions)

Basic PC building & troubleshooting (just a hobby, but I love it)

Fusion360 & woodworking (I enjoy designing and building small projects)

Fire alarm systems (basic inspection and understanding through my current job)

Writing, Communication & Marketing:
I hold a degree in Communications with a minor in Creative Writing. I’m confident with writing, storytelling, and marketing—whether that’s creating copy for events, helping with promotional ideas, social media, or just making sure the message matches the mission.

Hands-On & Maintenance Work: From janitorial volunteering at dance studios to light handyman work during college, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and help out wherever needed.

I’ve been fortunate to live an exciting and varied life so far. If you ask whether I have experience or knowledge in something, there’s a good chance I do — so don’t hesitate to ask! I’m always curious, studying and trying new things.

I’m really outgoing and enjoy meeting new people, but I also need a safe, quiet spot to retreat to for at least a couple of hours each day to recharge.
Training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a huge focus for me right now, so having access to a gym nearby would be a real bonus.

I’m a big fan of ice cream, fresh vegetables, and cooking meat—food is definitely one of my joys.

I love creative problem solving, though sometimes I need a reminder to slow down and just be present in the moment.

When it comes to games, my favorites are Hues and Cues and Catan. I do play video games but limit myself to an hour or two so I don’t lose track of time. I also play Dungeons & Dragons every week, which I really enjoy.

I love swimming. I sailed as a kid but have lost my skills over time, and I’d love to regain them someday.

Most podcasts and books you’ll find me listening to or reading are about cars, religious history, fantasy worlds, and marketing.
