Soy Diego, tengo 34 años y soy de Chile. Soy una persona enérgica a la que le gusta conocer gente nueva. Me gusta conversar, ayudar a los demás, siempre tengo mi cámara a mano y llevo 8 años dedicándome a la fotografía. Mis habilidades son la fotografía, poesía (1 libro ya publicado), la cocina y la interacción con la gente, pero siempre quiero hacer más. Empecé un viaje en 2022 que se suponía que terminaría en 3 meses. Ya llevo 4 años allí y no tiene fecha de finalización. Este viaje me ha llevado a muchos países (48hasta ahora) y, aunque lo hago solo, he hecho grandes amigos y he vivido grandes aventuras, especialmente cuando hago voluntariado porque conozco mejor el lugar. Siempre he pensado que el voluntariado va más allá de tener alojamiento gratuito, y eso no es lo que realmente busco. Sinceramente, me gusta involucrarme en cada proyecto en el que participo, tanto aprendiendo sobre la cultura del lugar como compartiendo con otros voluntarios y la comunidad local. Leo cada perfil con atención y selecciono los que se ajustan a mis habilidades y a lo que quiero aprender. Como dije, no se trata de ofrecer alojamiento a cambio de trabajo, sino de conocer a fondo un proyecto y contribuir a su crecimiento, aprendiendo cosas nuevas. Espero poder hacer sonreír a la gente, que aprendan de mí y que yo aprenda de ellos.

ENGLISH:

My name is Diego, I'm 34 years old, and I'm from Chile. I'm an energetic person who loves meeting new people. I enjoy conversation, helping others, and I always have my camera handy. I've been dedicated to photography for eight years. My skills include photography, poetry (I've already published one book), cooking, and interacting with people, but I always want to do more. I started a journey in 2022 that was supposed to end in three months. I've been here for four years now, and there's no end in sight. This journey has taken me to many countries (48 so far), and although I'm traveling alone, I've made great friends and had amazing adventures, especially when I volunteer because I get to know the places better. I've always believed that volunteering is about more than just having free accommodation, and that's not what I'm really looking for. I genuinely like to be involved in every project I participate in, both by learning about the local culture and by connecting with other volunteers and the local community. I read each profile carefully and select those that match my skills and what I want to learn. As I said, it's not about offering accommodation in exchange for work, but about getting to know a project in depth and contributing to its growth by learning new things. I hope to make people smile, that they learn from me, and that I learn from them.

Quais são suas habilidades?

By profession I am a cook, so I can help in the kitchen and also in cleaning areas. Through my work in tourism, I have learned over the years to be a good person in planning work activities as well as vacations.
I speak Spanish because it is my native language, I speak English (intermediate), I understand some German after having lived in Germany, and I have always liked to learn the local language from where I am traveling.

I am a writer and I already have a lot poems (i work in My next book), 2 books already published.

I always travel with my camera and over the years I have learned to capture good moments and edit photos.

The most important thing on a trip is to add adventures, meet people and enjoy the moment with the people I meet.
