Hello everyone! 😊
It's Filip (22 years old) from Macedonia and Cristina (28 years old) from Spain.

We met each other while doing volunteering project in Barcelos cofounded by European Solidarity Corps in duration of 1 year. We had already done other volunteering projects separately before, and that is why sharing this new experience has motivated us to continue together in this way of getting to know and working in the world. We both enjoy seeing and discovering new parts of the world, not just the tourist spots 🗺🧭🌍

We are very simple and enthusiastic , sociable, open-minded couple, who love meeting new people and getting stuck in with new challenges, foods and cultures and prefer to be surrounded by nature and animals than by buildings and noise.

We never get bored, we know how to pass the time very well and whatever we do we always do with music.
Adaptation and a sense of humour is part of our backpack. 🌻


Cristina: I have worked for many years of my life in the family business, a fish shop. I also studied pedagogy, but after the coronavirus I decided to stop my studies. Now what life asks of me is to travel, to get to know and learn at the university of life. And this feeling of travelling and getting to know other cultures motivates me to continue and there are no limits when it comes to exploring. I have done workaway with another friend of mine, in the Italian Alps I worked in a hotel, in Turin in a farm and in Deventer Holland with a family. My last volunteering was where I met Filip.



Filip: I'm coming from a small village in Macedonia which is very well known for its tabaco production, as familly bussines I was exposed to agriculture from small age growing vegetables and fruits together with my father,after the high school i went to study Computer engeneering, but 5 months into it i didn' really find myself in, also it started the Pandemic so all my plans were ruined.After that i found this wonderful volunteering opportunity in Portugal, which was one of the most important moves for me personal, since i developed my skills and improve my languages.

Quais são suas habilidades?

As we have already said we have worked for a long time in the family business and it is the part that has given us the most lessons and skills both socially, dealing daily with many customers and workers as well as knowing how to work and value the work of others.

Cristina: painting, knitting, embroidery, arts and crafts, working and creating art with my hands and imagination.
I have experience as a private teacher (also with children with ADHD)babysitting in Kindergarden and on my own. experiencie in a hotel (reception, cleaning and waitress) with the dutch family babysitting, gardering, interior design assistant, waiter and cooker helper.

Filip: photography, social medias, digital content creation, computer skills.
I love sports like biking, football, baskteball, table tenis, hiking etc.
I have skills regarding farming, gardening, fixing bikes, fixing electronic devices, cooker helper...



In Portugal our tasks in our volunteering project are very diverse from costal cleaning to work in social shops, elderly centre, stimulation and play activities, also with people with parkinson, gardering, participation in campaigns like collecting food or school material, organisation of a warehouse with food for Mozambique, also recently we started doing carpintering work which is going pretty well we learned a lot.


We learn from our mistakes and want to improve and discover new skills , new challenges and learn new one's, and that is the best ability for all of us to enjoy and to share any experience together. all our skills are always evolving
