Hello everyone,

I am very pleased to join the workaway community with my partner for 4 years, Emelyne! I, Camille, am now 23 years old and Emelyne is 26. We've just finished our master's degree in psychology in Bordeaux (France), and we'd like to take some time for ourselves for making experiences before beggining to work as psychologists in january 2024. We both put great value in helping others as testified by our profession as well as our experiences in volunteering in non profit organizations around our city (especially with queer/LGBTQ+ people, as well as with immigrant people).

At this stage, we feel the need to reconnect with nature, movements and all living creatures after years of hard studying and mental-centered exercises. We'd describe ourselves as committed people, who have good work ethics and openness toward others at heart, and we want to put meaning in our actions and words, which led us here ! We are very excited to meet new people, share and learn from different cultures, involve ourselves in meaningful activities and give our time and energy into helping others while discovering local places, nature and cultures. We both feel the need to move from our environment, discover new places and people and shake our daily routine in order to grow personally.

We both are vegetarian for ecological reasons and are totally opened to veganism ! Even though we have not been exposed to very hard manual tasks so far, we are very quick to learn and deeply motivated to give our best! We enjoy cooking vegetarian meals on a daily basis, are good with animals and kids, and appreciate a lot of activities like tidying, cleaning and organizing (yes that's true, we're not joking). We both have seasonal experiences in jobs involving cleaning, tidying, babysitting and giving lessons to children. We also have been in charge of promoting digital awareness and offering digital support to students during our academic years, if it's something you might be interested in!

We speak french (obviously), are also good english speakers and have some spanish basics. We are as curious about nature as we are to the culture of all cities, and we enjoy a lot discovering new things. We both are passionate about music, cinema, board games and reading, and are sensible to art in general, so we will be very happy to talk about your favorite (or not) artists, movies and all ! We also enjoy hiking and crafting even though we cannot say that we are experts in those fields. As psychologists and friendly individuals, we'd love having passionate conversations around a cup of tea or else, as we like to hear about the stories and opinions of others to open our minds and to be a comforting presence for people around us.
