Descrição

We are an outgoing and sporty couple who love to go on adventrues especially outdoors. We are always escaping our wonderful city in the UK called Bristol to go surfing at the beach on the weekends or camping with friends or at music festivals. We love gardening, eating & cooking delicious vegetarian food that we have grown in our garden. We are also motivated to travel & see as much of this beautiful world as possible. We like to exercise & keep fit by climbing mountains, skiing, riding our bikes, skating etc which also brings us a lot of happiness as this helps to look after our bodies & mind. We love music & taught ourselves to DJ in lockdown so play music together a lot & with friends. Hannah is a professional dancer & has recently been doing a lot of walkabout acting work at clubs & festivals & got Aston involved. We are both really enjoying learning these new performance skills. We also love sound healing, breathwork & yoga ceremonies & want to spend the next year really getting spiritual in the jungle & connecting to our deeper selves.

We love the idea of volunteering as its a great way to meet and give back to people and communities. It builds new relationships where we wouldnt be able to do any other way. We have volunteered a fair few times already. Last summer we volunteered for Oxfam at Shambala and our primary jobs were to look after customers and give out information.
We have also worked on a self sufficent eco-farm last month in chiang mai where we had too cut back the vegetation and regrow all the veg & fruit. We met some amazing people and plan to meet more on workaway.

We are both fluent in English & could happily give some lessons or writing guidance. Hannah was an English conversation class teacher in Spain for 1 year at a private school & also taught private classes in the evenings when living in Madrid, so has teaching experience.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Aston has trained & is a qualified electrician in the UK & previously was a carpenter. He is constantly building & doing new projects in our lovely home. He is very knowledgable about woodwork & electrics & would love to spend the next year travelling around beautiful Thailand volunteering at various projects to share & pass on some of his skills & knowledge. Currently he is working for a Solar Energy company in the UK & has a lot of knowledge about solar panels & EV charging points which he could help some families/businesses should they need any?

Hannah speaks intermediate Spanish & we are both fluent in English as that is our native language so reading & writing projects in English we can definitely help with. They are both very keen to learn more about permaculture & practice this in our own garden & visit community projects & permaculture talks in our hometown in the UK to learn more.

Hannah was a manager for a ski holiday company for many years travelling the world looking after 100s of guests & staff each week & creating events for guests to take part in. She has great project management & event management skills & is now pursuing a career back in performance as she studied Dance & Culture at University. Hannah currently performs in the UK dance shows & could help teach or encourage movement classes & yoga sessions.

We are plant obsessed & want to practice Muay Thai boxing when in Thailand for this year. We are an older couple at 37 & 35 & feel this is an opportunity to have a fun volunteer year together before we settle down & start a family next year. We are easy going & have a wide range of skills we can adapt to situations really easily & have a fun, positive energy & attitude towards life.
