Hello everyone :)
I'm Aoife, an enthusiastic traveller with interests in charity and NGO work. I'm currently an undergraduate student studying International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response, so I am looking for opportunities to engage with volunteering or aid work for my first workaway experience. I was raised in the UK and speak fluent English and a little bit of French, though I would love to learn other languages!
I am a very open, outgoing and friendly person, I love to connect with people through conversation and culture exchange. I also enjoy adventure and feel my happiest in nature. I am tidy and always clean up after myself, I find it quite therapeutic.
I am happy to help out with more or less anything, early morning and late nights are no problem and getting my hands dirty will not phase me. I am a huge animal lover, especially dogs, cats and horses, but also have experience with other farm animals. I have some experience in lambing, and would love to get more involved with birthing other animals too. I'm hoping that my workaway will allow me to step out of my comfort zone a little and embrace a more eco-living lifestyle.
I'm an avid reader so you will probably find me in my spare time reading a book somewhere! I'm also a massive foodie so if cooking or sharing recipes is your thing then I would be delighted to take part, likewise, I enjoy cooking and trying out new flavours.
As mentioned, I am studying a degree about disaster management and humanitarian response, so volunteering and charity is very important to me. Before I begin professional work in the sector, I would like to get as much experience as possible with smaller NGOs. I have a preference for home/farmstays or workaways that involve horses. Since moving away to university, I haven't been able to be around horses as much as I would like to be, but I have found some really cool opportunities through workaway. I am competent in all house work, cooking, cleaning, caring for children etc.

Quais são suas habilidades?
In the past, I have cared for a variety of horses and have a lot of experience with large draft breeds. I have been riding for around 12 years and enjoy mainly groundwork and dressage, but I love to go on trail rides as well. I have worked at horse trekking centres in the past so I also have experience leading rides and accommodating to tourists. Happy to do all other horse tasks, feeding, cleaning stables, lunging and exercising of horses etc.
I have been working since a young age, and I am great in customer service and with other business/working skills. I am a great communicator and very reliable.
I also have younger siblings, so I am happy to take care of children of any ages. I love to cook so maybe I can show you some traditional British/Irish recipes!
