Descrição

Hi! We are Gabor and Anna, and we are a young couple from Germany. We finished school last year and have since been on the lookout for new adventures and experiences, which we can hopefully find on here :P

We want to experience new cultures and ways of living before we go to University in October. And while we are at it, to learn a bit more about ourselves and expand our skills. We see this as a chance not just to travel, but to engage with local communities and meaningful projects!

As a couple, we have very different interests and hobbies, which allows us to continuously experience something new and exciting. Since we are very multifaceted, we carry different skillsets, so we'll be able to carry out whatever task comes our way ;) However, cooking is our shared passion, and together as a team we have created many different dishes and would love to learn more about local cuisine and ways of cooking.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Anna

I've been working in a small restaurant in my village as a waitress. I'm usually serving customers (which I really enjoy), but if short-staffed, I also help in the kitchen. I started that job while still in school and have been working in the restaurant for almost two years now. Currently, I am working full-time as a Kindergartener through a Federal Volunteer Service. My personal strengths are organising events, bringing people together and finding creative solutions. I organised most of the trips I went on this past year, as well as our graduation ceremony, so it is safe to say that I'm not afraid to engage myself in any project at hand. I am also a very creative person, I enjoy painting (with watercolour mainly) and sketching. In my freetime I love to read and to discuss different topics and ideas, so I’m always there for a good conversation! I have to admit that I grow easily frustrated with things that require fine motor skills, but Iam quick to learn, and there is nothing that I am not willing to try!

Gabor

I am a motivated and hands-on person who enjoys learning new skills and taking on new challenges. I am passionate about cooking and completed a two-week internship in a professional kitchen, where I gained experience in food preparation and teamwork.
I also completed an internship as a painter and currently work part-time at Kaufland, a large supermarket chain. Through these experiences, I have developed reliability, responsibility, and the ability to work well in a team.
Since childhood, I have regularly helped in my father’s car workshop, which gave me solid basic mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills.
I have been doing strength training at the gym for the past 2.5 years, so I am comfortable with physically demanding tasks, but I can also handle careful and detailed work. Additionally, I have basic knowledge of computer technology and some experience with smartphones and PCs. I am a fast learner and always willing to try new things.
