My name is Ailis and I love traveling, being outside, reading, baking, and being active! I am a laid back and adventurous gal, who is happiest spending time in the sun with my book or my friends, especially if I am near a body of water.
I have done a lot of traveling, particularly in Europe, but I really look forward to exploring new areas of the world. I speak English and some French, but I am very interested in learning Spanish during my travels.
I am very passionate about social justice, as a sociology major, and I feel a lot of drive to spend the next year volunteering and finding ways to help people. I love both teaching and learning. I am so looking forward to discovering new things, meeting people, and experiencing different cultures and foods.

I have a lot of experience in the service industry, as I have been a host, server and barback. I also have a lot of experience in jobs with kids, I have been a swim instructor, a ski and snowboard instructor, and a nanny. I am currently a legal assistant and an activities assistant in a nursing home, so I have secretarial skills, and skills with elderly people.
I would consider myself a very hard worker who is not afraid to get her hands dirty, a quick learner, patient, kind and friendly. I am also willing to do almost any type of work and I love learning new skills. I am most excited by working with people, I am a strong communicator and I am passionate about helping people with whatever they need.
