Hellooo,
my name is Ada. I am 23 years old in September, from Germany and have just completed my bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Earth, Energy and Sustainability in The Hague, Netherlands. I have been using workaway since I started travelling in 2019. My travels have so far taken me through Ireland, Australia, Morocco, Spain and Vietnam.

Now after having finished three years of study, I am not ready to live in yet another very urban environment in student housing. I want to connect with people and work outside of my study hours (preferably outside and physically as I have greatly missed what this does to mind and body whilst studying). I am aware that this is not the usual Workaway experience that you might be looking for as a host but you will find that I am very flexible and not shying away from doing this a little different ;) It was worked out wonderfully whilst I was on a semester abroad last year - I got the incredible opportunity to study in Australia for one semester where I had spent almost one year traveling in 2019. I was determined to not get lost in the big city of Sydney and sought after a workaway position that would allow me to study whilst being fully immersed in the new environment, living with local people, learning and observing whilst working. I spent several months working and living at the Sydney Permaculture Institute whilst taking courses at Macquarie University and working on my Bachelor's thesis. I have applied to the masters in environmental Psychlogy in Maynooth University, and would love to do some physical work (preferably outside) whilst studying.

Hopefully we could discuss details about a long- term stay and working hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends) depending on my uni schedule.

I have sadly lost a lot of my french since leaving school, but I have recently taken a course over 6 months at uni to regain some of my spanish instead :) I love learning new languages and sharing whatever I can

Quais são suas habilidades?

During my time at the Sydney Permaculture Institute last year, I learned a lot about applied Permaculture and general maintenance on a farm/ natural building. Generally, during my previous travels, I did lots of active physical outdoor work on (sustainable) farms where I attained lots of knowledge about agriculture, food and energy production and sustainable lifestyles in general. My bachelors degree taught me a lot about earth systems and (the more theoretical side of) conservation, biodiversity and ecosystems as well as energy generation. I would love to apply some of this new knowledge but obviously also engage in conversations about sustainable lifestyles and the practical implementation of all this - where is the practical element during studying ..?

Please do not shy away when reading about my unconventional plans of travel/study and work. I am super determined to make this work :) and NOT "do less" as a workawayer just because I am studying ! I think this will be a really great and intense time (and luckily I can say I have done it before this time!)
