It was a new thing for us to prioritise cultural exchange as part of a hosting experience but it was really lovely to speak our imperfect Portuguese at home and with a patient and kind tutor, and give Eva a chance to practice her English.

It couldn't have been better!!!
A fantastic couple with an adorable son!
They were always willing to cooperate with us (and I brought my 11-year-old daughter along).
They even went for a trail run in the Serra da Estrela mountains :)
