Hey, I'm back on Workaway!

I worked for several years as a designer and illustrator, and decided it's time to take a little break.
My idea for the coming months is to:
- be close to nature
- and learn something completely new just for fun!

The beginning is already pretty good - I spent the whole Summer working in a hotel in beautiful Bavaria.
I was surely hiking a lot! And visiting lovely villages and local festivals too.

It will be also my third season traveling with Workaway – a few years ago I had a great time volunteering in Europe and Turkey, and more recently I had a chance to visit Brazil.

Who am I:
I'm an outdoor person who likes to stay active even on a cloudy or rainy day - it can be a solitary hike or rock-climbing with friends. I also enjoy playing cards/ RPG or sketching and reading books while having a tea.
When traveling, I appreciate opportunity to stay longer in a one place - it gives me a chance to fall into a local life's rhythm and get closer to the people.

At some point I would like to learn:
horse riding / urban gardening / sailing

Where I can help you:
✦ in tourism - I did previously some hostel jobs (reception, tourist-guide, cleaning) and I'm happy to do it again!
✦ with organizing events - for a few years I was working in NGO organizing and coordinating events for international students.
✦ in a workshop - I enjoy crafty jobs, so I can help with painting walls, murals or some DIY.
✦ in a garden - plants are my little hobby, I keep propagating and sprouting new ones. From small to big: herbs, rucolas, succulents, spicy pepper or fruit trees.

Quais são suas habilidades?

As a volunteer, I had various jobs, including:
- work in hostels (reception, cleaning, informing guests about city attractions and transport);
- general house maintenance in countryside (painting walls & furniture, cleaning, gardening, cooking);
- painting a few murals at summer resort;
- designing and building wooden outdoor structures (garden bridge, geodesic bamboo ball, cabin entrance -> a few photos are in my gallery).

Some of my other skills:
- organizing & coordinating events - for 3 years I was working for an international NGO organizing job fairs, cultural exchanges & engineering competitions for students;
- architecture - I have a bachelor degree in architecture, I can help with a building inventory, 2d CAD drawings or simple 3d model (in SketchUp)
- drawing & design - for the past few years I work as an illustrator creating fantasy & sci-fi designs for games and magazines.

I am curious about learning new things and understanding how they work. I pay attention to detail and observe how others do their jobs, and when necessary, I am not afraid to ask questions. When working in a group I trust my teammates and give my all to fulfil my role.
