We love traveling, especially near the ocean because we love to surf! We are planning to spend this coming school year traveling with our family of four, starting in September 2024.

Descrição

We are a family of that enjoys being together, exploring, connecting with other people and places. We come from a from a small, wonderful community but have travelled a lot with our kids. We appreciate traveling because it creates opportunities to help broaden our perspectives and make new friends. In general, we like to be able to stay places longer to better connect to places and people. We volunteer in our own community - helping create youth sports programs, working the local animal protection Society, helping with trash pickup. So, we were very excited to find workaway and the possibility of connecting readily to service opportunities and other people while traveling and exploring the world with our kids.

We are planning to homeschool and travel with our family to learn and grow together for the for the 2024-2025 school year. Serina works remotely. We are conscientious, reliable and communicate well.

Quais são suas habilidades?

SAM
I am a maritime engineer and was a commercial fisherman for two decades. I can share knot tying skills and am good at problem solving and creating what is needed with the materials I have.

I also have construction knowledge - I worked as a carpenter for a number of years. Serina and I built our home together with our own hands and knowledge, learning so much along the way.

I enjoy baking and cooking. I bake our bread and make yoghurt each week for our family.

I love to surf, skateboard, play outside and am learning to play the ukulele and piano.

SERINA
I am well versed with the use of most carpentry tools having built our home together and having grown up with a shop full of tools.

I enjoy cooking, creating art projects, playing outside, camping, surfing, and helping organize activities for our kids and the community.

I love yoga and teach Pilates.

We live on a farm and enjoy gardening, cooking from the garden and taking care of animals.

I am an architect and will work remotely while traveling.


WINSLOW AND LENNOX
Our kids are 8 and 11 and love taking care of animals, playing with other kids, being helpers with younger kids, cooking, creating, cartwheels, surfing, swimming, skiing and can be very helpful contributors to their household. They are both very curious, compassionate and creative.

We have always lived very minimally. We currently live in a tiny home and have spent a lot of time on boats.
