Hello fellow hosts and travellers,
We are Tom and Ana, an adventurous couple planning our next move from place to place. We've been trying to find our path in this crazy world together. In the meantime, we try to enjoy it and have fun!
We would describe ourselves as enthusiastic and easy-going nature lovers. We studied zoology and nature conservation, a sector we hope to find a stable job in one day. In the meantime, we're filling our time productively in any way possible. We love working with animals, long treks, diving, swimming, playing sports, music and dancing. We are passionate travellers and adapt very well in any environment.
WorkAway it's a great platform to meet people from different backgrounds, share stories and work hard.

We have taught english in the past and found that experience very rewarding. We are always open to exchanging knowledge of different languages and have always been able to communicate with others in one way or another.

Quais são suas habilidades?
Having studied conservation biology, we have a strong knowledge of the environmental sector and have had significant experience with wild or domestic animal husbandry, research and protection.
I (Tom) particularly enjoyed working with people via public outreach campaigns and feel particularly good with coordinating volunteers. I am used to long treks carrying equipment and enjoy getting my hands dirty. Hiking and being surrounded by nature is where I feel most at home. Apart from my experiences working in the environmental sector, I also have worked in restaurants, bars, stadiums and theatres during my studies. I speak three languages fluently (English, Italian and Spanish) and am very adaptable in different environments.
I (Ana) have a great passion for working with animals, having worked with wolves, seabirds and sea turtles. I have always had domestic animals, having also ridden horses for many years. I'm an ocean lover who grew up either swimming in the waves of Nazaré or snorkeling in the calm waters of the Azores. Whether it's abseiling down cliffs or kayaking, I'm always up for an adventure! I adapt very easily to any work environment, always prepared to get my hands dirty, being an excellent team member. I am fluent in Portuguese and English and intermediate in Spanish.

Both are very good workers with experience and spirit. We were able to entrust our house to both of them without any problems and take some time off in Germany. We wish them both good luck and good experiences on their journey through Europe.
