Greetings! My name is Tobias, and i am a 21 years old and from Copenhagen, Denmark. I finished highschool (In Denmark we call that gymnasium) in 2021. Now i am starting my third gap year, before i plan to study medicine. I have spent the last two years travelling, working different jobs, helping my dad renovate an old farm, and helping my mom moving, going to a danish "folk highschool" (Højskole in danish), and spend lots of time with my family and friends.

Music is my biggest hobby. I play the piano and drums, but most important i just love listnening to music and talking about how it makes us feel. I love talking about the big questions and subjects. This could be relations, love, ethics, politics, norms, philosophy, responsiability, science, what our dreams are and why we have them. Turning nothing into something without hurting anyone in the process makes me happy. Being challenged, self-growth, cooking, meeting new people, learning from new people is somewhing i want to do more.

I care very much about sustainability both in terms of climate justice, but also in terms of being concious about how my choices impacts other living beings. Therefore i try to get my things secondhand, i havent flown in 8 years (although this is might be because i have severe fear of flying, haha) and i turned vegan when i was 15. I also make a great deal out of sorting trash correctly :). Its also important to me to fight for equal rights for everyone no matter sex/race/religion/sexuality. I see these things as a resonsibility for me, since i am a highly privileged person.

With that being said, i am a very calm person, and i strive to be easy to be around. I dont judge anyone who doesnt have the same beliefs as i do. I think its amazing we are all different! As said, i love to talk about these topics, but i also dont mind just talking about the weather, bicycles, movies, funny anecdotes etc, :) and as a dane, i am often sarcastic/ironic and sometimes people dont catch it.

I have done one workaway at El hogar animal sanctuary in Spain, but it was registered trough their website, although i found them trough workaway.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have really enjoyed cooking my entire life, so it's something I find natural and love to do. my best dish is probably my peanut butter curry w/ chickpeas and tofu. I also make some epic smørrebrød (Danish Open sandwiches on rye bread). Minimizing food waste and being sustainable is something I care about when cooking. So I often go dumpster diving, and I love to make the best out of leftovers.

I have experience with building and maintaining bycicles. My current bicycle I build myself from the rusty wreck my friend had lying behind their house.


I think that I am good at making others feel comfortable and safe. At least I have been told by a few people that I would be a great doctor because of it. Working as a hospital porter, I learned loads about working with vulnerable people, and talking about things that aren't easy to talk about. I felt like grew a lot emotionally working with mentally sick, terminally ill people, relatives, and dead people.


I also have basic experience with painting, doing insulation, building wood constructions , using tools. I would love to learn more, and I learn quite quickly :)

I have tried driving tractors, vans and w/ trailers.

I play the piano and drums, and I know fair share of music theory. Music was my main subject in highschool, and I got top grades in it:)
