Hi there,

My name is Deborah, and I am a nature lover. I enjoy travelling and in the last few years I have visited amazing places and meet incredible people, from locals to other travellers.

I consider myself a very hard-working person. I really want to work, help, learn and live with other people.

I have just come back from Central and South America after 4 years exploring these amazing countries. I worked in tourism as a receptionist and general maintenance. Also in enviromental conservation as a tour guide, translator and some other roles, like working in farms and orchards.

I have experience working in gardens, seeding, planting, harvesting, preparing the land, pruning, etc. Also I worked teaching children English and Maths. All these jobs were in Galápagos Islands, Amazon, Andes, Patagonia, Pacific Coast and Caribe.

For years, I’ve been studying about sustainable development, climate change, planetary boundaries, etc. So, I would like to become more sustainable and learn from others. I want to live in balance with nature and help to restore what we humans have done for the last few decades.

Education is a human right and is the key to reach wellbeing for everyone on this planet.

Discovering new places and meeting new people, it’s when I learn the most from a country, their culture, their way of living and their relation with nature.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I’m a software engineer so I can help with technology, the internet, websites, etc.
I have experience in tourism, permaculture, gardening, reforestation, cooking for many people, translation, tour guide and bio construction.
I like to be outdoors, so any kind of physical work.

I also have experience in tourism like recepcionist, tour guide, translator and maintanance.

I like talking with people (Spanish/English), I travel alone but never feel lonely as I love interacting with people.

I like children, so I could teach them English, maths, science, crafts, acting, etc.

I have been doing 13 volunteer jobs in Latinoamerica, mainly in conservation, tourism, translations and permaculture.

I really want to learn and practice more about sustainable development, to live more off the grid. And I believe the more I learn, the more I could help later to others and change our lifestyles to a more sustainable and environmental way.
I have been also volunteering in Nepal to help the children and young people to have a better childhood, which is essential for their wellbeing and a proper future.

After 4 years living in the jungle, mountains, cloud forests and always with the local people, I feel very comfortable and happy to continue having this type of lifestyle. I am really learning a lot from them and I want to continue this way. There is always a very positive knowledge interchange.
