Hey !
I am Timothé, from France. People usually call me Tim.
I am a very passionate person, curious about everything, always, and everywhere. I love learning from people as much as I like sharing what I'm passionate about.
I have had the chance to have a life a bit all over the place, experimenting with different life styles and places, and getting to know myself better along the way. So far I have lived in Indonesia, Thailand, Germany, Finland and France.
I am a very creative person, and after creating mostly digitally (photography, video and 3d animations for the music industry), I very recently finished wood furniture making school. Which means I will be very happy to share my knowledge but I am also very eager to apply what I know and work on any wood project. And learn from other people !
Of course, I will be happy to help with any other task usually expected from workawayers.
In my personal time I love art in general, reading, movies, cooking, but also spending time in nature stoping to look at every plant, bug or beautiful lights. I am also very passionate about music, from Jazz to techno, same as with everything else, I am here to explore.
It is important to note that I really value boundaries and personal spaces. I see myself as really easy-going and socialy open once I get to know people. I can be a bit shy in the beginning but it's just me finding my marks.
In the same way I value personal space, I expect people to respect mine. I do need some alone time to recharge my energy and then I'm good to go for another round 🌱
On a more practical topic, here are some things that could come up handy if you welcome me in your home/project :
- I have a driving licence (manual) and, as stated above, I lived amongst other places in Finland, the Black Forest in Germany, and Thailand. So I can drive on snowy and mountain roads. I have driven on right and left side countries, and can drive a small motorbike (not manual).
- I have been a photographer in many instances and love to shoot anything from portraits to architecture. I also enjoy making videos, and I travel with my camera and what's needed for editing. I can use lightroom, photoshop, affinity and Resolve. I also worked on Blender for a few years but I'd rather not work on big animation projects now.
- I can fly a drone ( I have the skills, but no licence if needed in your country)
- I can work wood, do marquetry and fine woodworking, if I have access to the right tools. I do not know much about carpentry but I have some wood related knowledge and I learn fast. In the photos in my profile I attached my final school project, a Louis XVIth style playing table in which I hid some retractable speakers. I'm quite proud of it and I think you can get an idea of what I can do.
- I have worked in clothing retail, I know how to welcome customers
- I have worked as a house cleaner so I know how to keep a place clean and tidy
- I am French so I love food and can cook
- I can speak French and English fluently, and I can understand and speak some Spanish
- and a billion other little niche skills and knowledge about sound systems, gardening, plants, art, really anything I love.
What I am looking for :
I think my need to explore and share is what really keeps me going and step out of my comfort zone, even during difficult periods, of doubt and being lost. My biggest inspiration as a person are the people I have met that have taken the time to share an interesting conversation with me, or simply quality time. We don't have to talk, we can just share our daily life, our projects, our habits, our passions. And we can also keep things to ourselves. I am looking for genuine connections and new things I can bring to my life, in exchange of my time.
Now that I have started working a more manual labor, I want to learn about so many different hand crafts, like laquerware, traditional paper making, dying, glass work, bronze work and so on.
I want to learn new recipes and new ideas to take care of my ideal home I hope to have some day soon. I also hope that I can share knowledge that will outlast my visit and have a positive impact on others' lives, be it small or not.
By the way, I wrote a lot and I know I can talk a lot, but I love silence too.
I am hoping to meet you and see what stories are awaiting :)

I am really flexible and I can help you in many ways !
I can take care of your garden, do some painting and fix minor things at your place.
I love animals so if you need someone to take care of them too, I'll be happy to be that guy.
I can teach some good french recipes as well as a few words. If you already have french basics we can practice together!
I'd be happy to teach you everything I know about creating visual pieces with photography, film making or 3D animation.
I've accumulated a lot of random knowledge on different topics so I'm sure we'll have great conversations.
