Hiya!

My name is Taylor, but I seem to have acquired an array of nicknames over time and the list just keeps on going, so feel free to let your imagination take over if we ever have the chance of meeting. The newest is Potaytay (one reason being my love for potatoes lol).

Travel info:
My next adventure has taken me to beautiful New Zealand. And I'm travelling with my youngest brother, Aidan, who is beginning to experience the joys of travelling and being a Workawayer. He hasn't had the same opportunities as I have which is why I hope he grows to love it as much as I do.
We are currently located in Christchurch and plan to head further south (we have our own transport).

More about me:
I come from an English and German family. Born and raised in Germany, but also lived in the UK for some time. I fell in love with travelling from an early age and already have seen a lot of this world (but not nearly enough!). And over the years, I've worked different kinds of jobs in order to save money and head out to a new destination. Having worked many jobs, I have some knowledge and experience in a handful of different fields. These include working on farms, in hotels, in cafés, in childcare and with animals. This past year, I worked at a primary school, assiting in the after-school hours which included overseeing the children during lunchbreak, helping my assigned class with their homework, and offering several after-school activities.

I am an absolute lover of animals and have always enjoyed my many experiences working with them. Animal husbandry has always been my favourite type of work. This is why I took the opportunity, to study Animal Assisted Intervention and am now happy to call myself a certified practitioner with high hopes of gaining much more practical experience.

I'm a really fast learner. Give me a couple days and I can usually work a routine independently. I work hard, but know how to enjoy it with a sense of humour and easy-going attitude. My absolute dream is to one day have my own farm/animal sanctuary. Until then, I'd like to gather as much experience and inspiration as much as possible!

I absolutely love nature and wildlife and hope to see the unique flora and fauna every place has to offer which I enjoy capturing with my camera. It's become a tradition over many Workaways - taking portraits of people's pets who've opened their doors to me. I'm not a professional, but I have made people happy with what I've captured. I've added some to my photo gallery, so you can see for yourself.

I have experienced and learned a lot of things by now - too much already to list, and yet, I still have many things to learn, but I am always eager to give anything a try.

I enjoy helping people and repaying them for their kindness by giving me a place to stay and really get in touch with the local life.
