Hola,
me llamo Svenja. Soy de Alemania pero vivía en Australia por 6 años y en Nueva Zelanda por medio año. Durante 2019 y 2020 viajaba por unos países (Costa Rica, México, Sudafrica) y despues volví a Alemania hasta enero 2022. Desde marzo 2022 vivo en Ecuador.
Acá en Vilcabamba vivo desde diciembre 2023. Trabajo en linea como masetra de ingles y aleman. Me encantan los idiomas y soy muy ardiente compartir que aprendí yo durante los años con referencia al aprendizaje en general y de los idiomas.
La otra pasión es mi Shakuhachi, una flauta japonesa. Toco todos los días y recien empezé a enseñar tocar en linea. Soy budista y usualmente medito todos los días y hago un poco de yoga o qigong.
Originalmente estudié ecotrofología y nutrición pero hoy en día no uso eso, solo para mi mismo y todavía me encanta preparar comida y a veces hablar del salud.


Hi! My name is Svenja. I was born in Germany but I lived in Australia from 2013 till early 2019 and afterwards spent 5 months in New Zealand. So far and by far I feel most at home in Australia, but because of visa issues and the high living costs, there is no option to return long-term. I moved to Ecuador in April 2022 after an adventurous time in Costa Rica, Mexico and South Africa, nearly 2 years back in Germany and a trial at a community in Guatemala.
Since December 2023 I have been living in Vilcabamba working online as an English and German teacher and by now even as a Shakuhachi teacher which is my other passion next to languages. It's Japanese a flute and absolutely love it! There is no day that I won't play at least a little bit. I'm a Zen Buddhist and usually meditate every day and do some sort of yoga or qigong.
Originally I studied ecotrphology and nutrition but nowadays I don't really use it anymore, only for myself, but what stayed is the love for preparing food and talk about health at times.

Hm, what else? I am a pretty chatty person, however I usually am better with one on one conversations. I like being outside, working in the garden, going for a walk or hike and enjoying nature's beauty.
I want to live by example and always try to practice empathy and acceptance. I am always aiming to treat every living creature with the same respect and live a non-violent life. To achieve this I am trying to accept as many consequences as possible which is one reason for my diet of choice and also reflects in other consumer choices, eg. reducing plastic waste, using little to now personal hygiene products, trying to buy only products made from natural sources.
