Kia Ora, I'm Etienne ! 

After dreaming for years of working with sheep in New Zealand 🐑 🇳🇿 I've finally arrived September 2026 🙌 

Hailing from the UK with prior volunteering experience in organic farms 🌾 animal sanctuaries 🐕  and an Irish cattle farm 🐄 I'll be arriving with one goal: to learn as much as I can about sheep farming. 


About me 🌱 

I'm Etienne, 26, from Brighton 🇬🇧

I'm currently working as a carer, supporting adults with learning disabilities, also working as a life model and massage therapist: multi-disciplined and multi-talented, I love a challenge and to learn something new 😁 

My current challenge is to hitchike New Zealand from North to South, work with sheep and hitch a sailboat to Fiji next year ! 

Fun Fact: I said "Yes!" to everything for 1 month and ended up flying to South Korea to live in a community 😄

🪴 Gardening: Multiple organic farm experiences

🔨 DIY: I know my way around power tools and have built dozens of resilient dog kennels from scratch

🐕 Animal Care: Experience volunteering at an animal sanctuary with dogs and cats

🐄 Farm Experience: Previous experience working with dairy cattle

🤓 Care & Responsibility: Provide clients with medications and daily care

🧸 Childcare: 6 months volunteering in a Peruvian orphanage

👩‍🍳 Great Cook: Used to be a sous chef love cooking

🥐 Baking: 2 years baking experience - including plenty of early starts ! 

🇫🇷 Languages: English, French & Spanish


What I'm Looking For 🐑

I'm particularly looking for opportunities where I can learn about sheep farming, help with lambing, and experience rural life in New Zealand.

I'm happy to help with feeding animals, cleaning, gardening, fencing, cooking, maintenance, general farm work or the less glamorous jobs that keep everything going ! 

This is my first time using Workaway, so I'm happy to provide references or any further information 😊
