Hi!
I'm Sonja, 25 and from Germany. After finishing my studies I've decided to explore the world a bit and developed a passion for traveling and getting to know new people, cultures and landscapes.
Being in the outdoors and working in nature and also with animals is basically what I was born for I'd say. In Canada, Switzerland and Ireland I've worked at several different ranches with sheep, horses and cattle.
I do horsebackriding since I was a child, mainly western nowadays. Also I have some knowledge about horsemanship, so I would love to improve my skills in that and western riding.
I am a hardworking person and I can put a lot of effort in everything I am asked for. Either working as a team or on my own is both no problem for me.
My passions are hiking, doing music and drawing, having great conversations and socialise in great company :)

Quais são suas habilidades?
Fluent in English (lived in Canada for over a year and worked and traveled in Ireland and Scotland for about 5 months)
Horsebackriding (English and western), horsemanship
Handling animals (I vaccinated sheep and tagged/castrated lambs, worked with cattle, also on horseback)
I can handle different machinery such as tractors, bob cats etc.
Worked both in house keeping and in service on guest ranches
Also I love to play music, I can play the guitar and sing :)
I am open to anything and learn fast!

After several great experiences far away from home this was my first workaway in my home country.

Liezel's and Larry's place was my first ranching experience in Canada and I couldn't have asked for a better one. You never know what to expect and after 5 months of working on several ranches, Shamrock ranch is still my favorite.
