Hey there!
My name is Smilla, I’m 26 years old and from northern Germany.
I studied social work and dance, worked afterwards and decided to quit and take some time this year to travel through Europe.
I started in Montenegro, Croatia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegowina. Now I am on way through Italy to Spain, where I would love to volunteer.
I did workaway six years ago together with my brother in Southern Africa so I have e bit experience. During that time I worked at a farm and animal sanctuary, on different family farms and at a boarding school for blind and visually impaired children. I’m open for work in different areas and always willing to try something new.
This year I volunteered with two doifferent families. With one of them I did a lot of work in the garden and around tue property, with the horses etc. With the other family I took care of a three year old for a few ours a day.

I would love to learn Spanish. I am starting from the beginning but I would love to learn as much as I can communicate during travelling. In return I can offer my German and if you’re a beginner I can offer my English skills as well.

At first I’m not afraid of hard work and would like to help where I can.
I love to work with animals and like to bake cakes and all kind of sweet things.
I’m able to do childcare and have the ability to work in a team. I like to be outside and to work in the garden.

I love to be outside and enjoy nature.
As I said before I have a few experiences with workaway and apart from that I mostly have experience in some kind of social work. The last years I worked with children in kindergarten before that the children were a little bit older between 6 and 15 years old.

Together with my brother I stayed for five weeks on the farm and enjoyed it very much. Nicky and Rowan are very friendly and welcoming and together with the other volunteers I had a great time.
