Hi everyone! I’m Simone, a 23-year-old Computer Engineering student from Italy with a strong passion for history, art, cinema, and literature. While I value my academic background, my real drive when traveling is to connect with people, discover local heritage, and share authentic daily life.

Over the past few years, I have gathered solid experience in hospitality, community support, and cultural exchange across diverse environments. Through Workaway, I worked in hostel front-desk and guest reception in Boston, assisted in a language center in Seoul, supported daily activities at a Montessori kindergarten while living with a host family in Hanoi, and assisted a host family in New York with home care, space organization, and preparing a property for the market. As an Erasmus+ certified youth worker, I took part in European mobility projects in Germany (building resilience and conflict transformation tools) and Romania (exploring non-formal education, human rights, and intercultural dialogue). On top of that, my Couchsurfing experiences in London, Bucharest and Zagreb reinforced my ability to adapt smoothly and be a considerate, easygoing guest in any home.

Around a project, I bring a calm, cheerful, and responsible presence. I thrive in roles centered on welcoming guests, coordinating social activities, language tutoring (Italian/English), or managing light administrative and digital tasks. Past hosts have highlighted my reliability, proactive communication, and high respect for shared and private living spaces, which I always keep clean and tidy.

I look for balanced exchanges with manageable routines that allow ample free time for reading, exploring museums and historical landmarks, or discovering local gems. Whether it’s cooking a fresh Italian dinner for the household, sharing book and film recommendations, or helping guests feel welcome from day one, I look forward to contributing to your project.
