Hello everyone,
My name is Sarah, and I am from Germany. I have spent almost my entire life growing up in Dresden. Apart from the stunning mountains ideal for hiking and climbing, I have been deeply fascinated by the world of art and culture in my hometown. In my free time, I have been volunteering as a children and youth moderator since 2017, working on strategies to enhance their political participation. Through the program I am involved in, I have gained valuable insights into educational policy work and have even conducted workshops as part of a program initiated by the President of Germany. Working with children and young adults has consistently brought immense joy and satisfaction to my life. In addition to this, I have a strong passion for music; I thoroughly enjoy singing and play the guitar.
Last year, I completed my schooling in Germany and embarked on a journey of exploration. Currently, I am traveling in New Zealand. My aim with this adventure is to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and, most importantly, immerse myself in different cultures. I am incredibly excited about the natural beauty and opportunities that New Zealand offers. Furthermore, I am motivated to gain new work experiences.
In summary, I derive great joy from collaborating with people, igniting their enthusiasm for new experiences, and constantly learning new things myself.

I studied English for 11 years in school and took it as both an advanced course and an exam subject. As a result, I am fluent in English and have even taught it as a tutor. I also learned Spanish in school, although I am at a basic proficiency level in speaking. On the other hand, German is my native language, making it easy for me to explain and teach.

Quais são suas habilidades?

In June 2023, I completed my high school education with a college degree focussing on psychology studies. Alongside my academic pursuits, I have also acquired training in moderation, conflict resolution, and youth leadership (Peer Group Trainer). I have gained practical experience working as a service staff member in a climbing gym, where I provided customer assistance. I have also worked as a salesperson in an eco-friendly store and at a fast-food establishment named "Dean and Davids."
In addition to these roles, I have supervised children and youth camps during holidays and organized educational weekends for teenagers. Furthermore, I have served as a waiter and Lodge Assistant at a five-star hotel in Dresden.
Moreover, I contributed to renovation and restoration work on a farm.
In New Zealand I have been working in kiwi fruit thinning and as a FOH at the Hobbinton Movie Set.

In addition to my volunteer work with young people, I thoroughly enjoy organizing methodically structured workshops and educational opportunities. I am actively engaged in political demonstrations, such as "Fridays for Futures."
I am also passionate about sports and find great enjoyment in activities like climbing and bouldering. Additionally, I am an avid jogger and practice yoga. Swimming and cycling are also among my greatest passions.
Over the past few years, I have developed a keen interest in nutrition, which has led me to discover a strong passion for cooking.
