Hello!
I'm Sara, a 26-year-old adventurer coming from Slovenia.

I have a passion for exploration and thrill-seeking. I love spontaneous trips and discovering new places. My goal in life is not to have a 9-5 job, but to live life to the fullest, something beyond the daily life!

I have finished my Bachelor's degree in translation studies, and am currently working as a freelance translator, living my best digital nomad life in Asia!

I want to make the most of my free time by embarking on journeys and immersing myself in new cultures to broaden my horizons. Volunteering is one of my passions, because it enables me to engage with international travelers and gain a tremendous amount of fulfilment from it.

In 2019, I volunteered at a hostel in Bangkok, Thailand, which was a transformative experience. After this I have also volunteered in Lima, Peru and Da Lat, Vietnam. I'm eager to pursue similar opportunities in the future.

I did a one-year student exchange in Athens, Greece, which is an opportunity that helped me with my self-growth a lot and for which I am beyond grateful!

I am looking forward to finding some open-minded and positive people like me, so we can create some fun memories together.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I grew up in a small town in the Slovenian countryside. I helped my family a lot with gardening and also some animal care. When I left my hometown to attend high school, I was studying graphic design, which includes not only computer art but also painting and drawing. I would say I acquired some good skills, such as an eye for beauty and aesthetics, to help with any kind of art projects.

Skills that I have learned outside of school are from working in factories, waitressing and cashier work, which I would say gave me some skills how to deal with costumer service.

Interacting with people from all over the world gave me confidence in my own language abilities and made me realize how much I want to go see other places.

As mentioned above, I volunteered in several hostels, where I did check-ins, and served drinks and food.

But I joined workaway to gain some new skills. I am open to anything, mostly I am looking for hostel jobs, as I love to be around people from different cultures and nationalities. I'm keen to doing other kind of work as well, such as helping on a farm. I want to help create a positive atmosphere wherever I go.
