Greetings! My name is Rethea, (pronounced Red-tea-ah) and I am a recent audiology graduate from South Africa.🇿🇦🇿🇦 My trade involves fitting the elderly population with hearing aids, helping them rediscover the joy of sound. In July 2024, I decided to resign from my job in England, to pursue my own business prospects and travels. Life goes by fast, and I wanted to start taking things slow. I have new career prospects and I am nurturing my own website! My twenties are to be spent healing, cooking, learning and reconnecting with nature and people.
I find joy in exploring the world around me. I am an avid cyclist, hiker and I will be at my most joyful when swimming in the ocean, finding solace in nature's embrace.
Additionally, one of my greatest passions is cooking and refining the art of preparing and serving whole foods. I have managed to heal through food. I find it to be a great fundamental building block of existence.
Food is fun and food is friends and food is meant to be shared and loved!
The only thing more valuable than my time is the people I choose to share it with. I believe that life is an endless journey of learning and experiencing, and I'm determined to explore and savour as much as I can during this adventure in the UK, Europe and beyond.

1. Guitar, drums and ukelele playing (if I manage to find an instrument on the road)
2. Gardening. I love gardening! Especially tidying up, redesigning, deweeding and composting.

6. Bilingual (fluent in both English and Afrikaans)
7. I am very skilful in the kitchen! Well-practiced in preparing vegetable or vegan meals - working with what I have to create anything wholesome and nourishing! I am happy to cook meats as well.
8. Navigation in mountainous terrain, as I have done a lot of trekking in the Drakensberg area in South Africa.
