We are currrently travelling in South East Asia, and it has been the best experience ever. Both love meeting new people, being social and going out ( sometimes ) We love sports, hikes, running etc.

Welcome to our joint account my name is Rachel and my boyfriends name is Spencer. I have been travelling for four months now with no intention of going home just yet. Spencer joined me in Thailand around a month and a half ago and we have been travelling together ever since. So far we have absolutely loved meeting and connecting with other travellers and the local people. We have appreciated how welcoming everyone has been and have enjoyed learning and embracing all the different cultures. We feel this is a very important value to have when travelling because you are in their homes and they should be treated with respect, and learning new things gives your more of an insight of how other people live their lives. It has come to a point where we would now like to be a part of something special, which will not only benefit us but also other people.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Hi my name is Rachel, I was born in England but my dad is Venezuelan and my mum is Welsh. I have been to Venezuela many time growing up which has broadened my experiences living in a third world country, and seeing the difficulties they face in everyday life. I am incredibly grateful to have come from a mixed background, with parents who have been there to help me. This relates to my passion for volunteering as I can appreciate how much of a difference it could make to peoples lives.

During the pandemic I helped out at a surgery in Sheffield calling the homes of elderly patients who were shielding. This gave them the chance to speak to someone during a very lonely and isolated time. More recently I volunteered on Koh Rong island in Cambodia for a month, where I stayed with a big family who owned three small businesses on the beach front. I also helped look after their kids and learnt so many new things from the local people and about their culture.

I also helped them build an instagram page for their bar to get their buisness out there a bit more because not many people knew how beautiful of a place it was. I take pride in taking photos, making videos and blogs and would especially love doing it if it benefited other people.

I am an active person, always busy and looking for the next adventure. Growing up I participated in many sports, gymnastics, football you name it. This is something I am passionate about and would love to teach these types of skills to others. I am a qualified mental health first aider and often find myself offering out advice to those who need it.

Hi my name is Spencer, I was born Cyprus but my parents are English and Welsh and have worked in the Military since I was a child. This meant I spent a lot of time moving from place to place so I learnt the skill of independence from a young age as well as being fortunate enough to have many friends from multi-cultural backgrounds. I have been traveling South East Asia for a month now and have loved every second, It has pushed me far out my comfort zone and helped me meet many great people. So far I have learnt so much about myself and plan on staying out for as long as possible, as I would love to go home knowing I have made a positive impact in peoples lives.

I volunteered last year, helping with a project in a local community in Sheffield make their park more eco-friendly. This work included building hedges planting and cutting trees as well as manual labour. I also have experience in building construction as I helped build and renovate my family home, this type of labour is something I do enjoy as I am a very active person and like to be busy.

I am passionate about sport and fitness and I have played football and rugby all my life, which is why I love being part of a team. I also have a special kind of love for animals, having grown up surrounded by dogs,a day doesn't go by where i dont stroke one as soon as i see it.
