Hello there! We’re Petra (🇸🇰) and Léon (🇫🇷), a curious couple on the road, looking to explore different ways of living and reconnect with something that feels more grounded, meaningful and close to nature...and thus more aligned with our deeper desires.
We’d love to spend the coming months discovering farms, homesteads and communities, learning practical skills along the way: permaculture, growing food, caring for animals, recognising plants and herbs, building and repairing things, cooking, and simply understanding how people create a more self-sufficient life.
We’re also interested in slowing down, meeting people, sharing knowledge and becoming part of the everyday life of a place. We’re excited to practice languages and discover different cultures from the inside, rather than just passing through as tourists.
We’re open-minded, adaptable and genuinely curious. We are quite humble, coming from a city environment where most of the traditional ways of living are long gone, so we surely don’t expect to know everything. We’d like to come with willing hands, an open mind, and a readiness to learn, contribute and share a little of ourselves along the way. 🌿 -

Quais são suas habilidades?
👨 Léon is French and has spent around 20 years working in and running bars and restaurants in Paris. He knows hospitality from the inside out, loves cooking and is always happy to share what he knows while discovering new cuisines and ways of doing things. He already spent a year in Ireland through WWOOF and so he's not a newbie in permaculture and sustainable farming. He is also a passionate cyclist and can build, maintain and repair bicycles, as well as improvise his way through simple DIY projects. He enjoys working with his hands and figuring out how things work.
👩 Petra is Slovak and naturally curious, with a tendency to collect skills and interests rather than stick to just one path. She studied economics but eventually realised that office life wasn't quite her habitat. Since then, she has explored different kinds of work, including childcare, massage and tourism, and is particularly interested in people, psychology and the little patterns of human behaviour. She is interested in alternative ways of life, practices yoga and meditation daily. She enjoys learning by doing and would be happy to help with practical tasks, people-oriented work or wherever an extra pair of hands is useful.
👫 Together, we enjoy making things, learning things and figuring things out along the way. We share an interest in videography and would love to gradually create small documentary projects about the people, places and ways of living we encounter on the road. We also love cycling, wandering into improbable corners, discovering local cultures and getting involved in whatever is happening around us.
More than anything, we're looking for genuine encounters. We like exchanging skills, stories, meals, ideas and everyday observations, and we'd be happy to contribute what we know while learning from you in return.
