Hi!
My name is Henri. I'm 20 years old, I'm from Finland, and I'm travelling through Europe this Spring
I recently got out of the military, and I'm planning on starting my studies next Fall. Which means I have the perfect opportunity to travel since I have no strings to keep me at home, and trust me, I plan on making everything out of it.
A couple of summers ago I went interrailing with a group of friends for a month. I enjoyed every minute of it, but it left me craving for more. We had a lot of places we wanted to visit which meant that we didn't stay in one place for that long. We missed out on connecting with other travellers or even local folk and I often look back on that. I genuinely believe that one of the greatest things in this world is connecting with other people. Getting to know their dreams, their pet peeves, hobbys, you name it. There is just so much that you can only learn from other people.
So this spring I'm heading out with a mission to connect with new people with the added bonus of helping them with whatever project they have. I always enjoy helping other people, and I'm really excited to have this new opportunity through workaway :-)

Quais são suas habilidades?

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a dog one way or another, so I’m generally good with dogs and super comfortable around them (and other animals for that matter). Education wise I don’t have any special skills because I’ve only graduated high school. However my strenghts there were math, physics and psychology.

I recently got out of the military so I have a little bit of experience with ’hands-on’ type of stuff, but I’d love to do more with my hands. I'm also really comfortable being out in the nature and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I really love cooking, drawing and writing althought I'm no prodigy in them. You could say that I'm just really eager to help with any DIY projects there are.

I've worked as a bartender/server for a year and a half, and combined with the experiences I got out of the military I've become extremely confident and natural interacting with strangers. I don't break a sweat when I'm surrounded by new people, on the contrary, I genuinley enjoy it!
With my bartender knowledge I can also whip up some cocktails if there ever were a need :-)
