Hello everyone,
I am Nicolas, I am 47 years old, from Chile and I'm on a trip that I have dreamed of for many years. My main motivation to participate as a volunteer in Workaway is to discover new places, to live adventures and meet new friends from all over the world, learning about their lifestyles and culture, widen my horizon and get out of my comfort zone.
I speak native Spanish, fluent English and intermediate French.
I am an architect and audio engineer and I combined both passions building my own recording studio where I have been working for a few years. I have also dabbled in luthiery and have participated in several local bands, playing the electric bass.
I love to work with my hands and my main skill and passion is to learn, whether it's a new language, a new skill, a new sport or any other opportunity I come across.
I consider myself a friendly and sociable person, who also enjoys his time alone :)

Quais são suas habilidades?
I would really like to learn more about sustainable construction in wood and adobe (I already have some experience). I love wood crafts in general, since I also have some experience as a luthier (I have hand built 7 electric basses). I have knowledge in design, architecture, audio, photo and video software, although I can easily learn any program if I put my mind to it. I love recording and editing audio of any kind, which is what I currently do. I really enjoy doing home repairs like plumbing, electricity, carpentry and painting.

I spent three weeks with Vincent and Marly and it was a great experience. We would start every day very early and work through the morning, with a coffee break around 10 and a light lunch around 13. Dinner around 20 with plenty of good conversations and stories.

Nicolás was with us for more than 3 weeks and we enjoyed every minute of it, he is a really nice guy, easy going and very helpfull and polite.
He worked very good and we had great conversations, he was also very good with our dogs.

Nicolas was helpful with very hard work, cutting and cleaning big area above our house.
Also,he helped with painting walls and we had nice time together.

I spent three weeks at Sabine's finca and I can only say good things about my stay. The volunteer house is very comfortable, independent, well equipped and with a really nice terrace to spend the afternoons working or just relaxing.
