Hi there,

our names are David (25 y) and Nancy (30 y). David is from Czech republic and Nancy from Germany.
We both love to travel and exploring new countries.
Currently we are in Ireland looking for jobs and accomodation and meeting new people.
A little bit about ourselves. We met in New Zealand while we did a working holiday there. We worked together at Hobbiton Movie Set in the Green Dragon and enjoyed our time there a lot.
I (Nancy) have already done a few workaways. Two in Canada while I was there on my working holiday visa and one in New Zealand. All three experiences were amazing and I have met awesome people! I wouldn´t want to miss it.
David hasn´t done Workaway yet (thats why he is not mentioned in the reviews, just updated the account :)), but let me assure you he is a hard worker, a joy to be around and is always willing to help.

We are open minded and friendly people. We help wherever we can and like the community. Now and than we enjoy our quiet time, reading a book, watching a movie or just listening to music or a podcast.

We are quite active. Going regularly to the gym, for a walk or hike. I m a dancer and even thaught hip hop in my local dance school and danced for a couple of years for our local basketball team. David is very passionate about the gym. We both enjoy movement to relax and get out of our heads.

We are very open minded when it comes to volunteering and helping out. David is really handy. He has worked a while for a building company and he enjoys fixing things. If youŕe interested in learing czech he will be happy to teach you (even though he might think youŕe crazy because czech is such a difficult language and he can´t understand why someone would want to learn it :D)

We both worked in hospitality so are used to long hours, a lot of walking and stressful situations.

I (Nancy) have worked in hostels and hotels(Canada and Germany) DHL, dance school and so much more.
My volunteering oppotunities from workaway were on a horse farm in ontario during the winter. We had so much snow and it was so cold but I loved it! I also looked after children and my last workaway was in a hostel in New Zealand.
I also studied early Childhood (no degree though) and have a fitness licence.

If we sound like people you would like to meet or would like to have as help, please contact us! We are happy to travel anywhere in Europe to meet new people and learn new things. (Especially new langauges)

Nancy is vegan and it is really important to her and so it´s also important to her that animals are treated good on a farm. But she also thinks it's a personal thing, so if you're not vegan or vegetarian she is not trying to convince you or judge anyone for not being vegetarian/vegan.
She also has no problem if others are eating meat in front of her. Non of her family members are vegan ;) Neither is David.

I stayed with Elaine, Joel, Desmond and Athia for 2,5 weeks and I really enjoyed it. I helped Joel preparing the lunch boxes for the kids in the morning, reorganised the pantry and some drawers and did some painting.

I stayed with Lin and her family for two months and I enjoyed every minute! Lin is such an amazing person. She is funny, kind, warmhearted, helpful, openminded and good! Furthermore she is an awesome chef and all her dishes were super tasty! I´m vegan which wasn´t a problem at all and we also developed some new recipes! We made vegan caramel… read more popcorn and vegan Mac and Cheeze! She also has a lot of interesting stories to tell which I always enjoyed listen to.
Her dogs are amazing! The two puppies were always waiting for us when we came back from the barn. I loved cuddling with the puppies and Dexter! I really liked being around them! Lin treats them as equal which I love! She respects and loves them so much! The dogs have the best home they could ever have!
Working at the barn was also a lot of fun! Yes, it is hard physical work; yes, you get sore muscles at the beginning and yes, it was even harder with the snow. BUT also it is the most satisfying thing to see the clean barn at the end and to know that the horses come back in and they will have nice and clean stables. Also you have music in the barn and with those awesome volunteers I met there everything was easy and a lot of fun!
I spend Christmas with Lin, Julie, Rod, the other volunteers, Lin´s Mom and Rods daughter + boyfriend and guys it was so much fun! They all have so many funny stories to tell and the `r i` presents were super cool!
After the barn was finished we always had time to do stuff. Once we build the Snowman `Bob`, the snowdog and a carrot man for the horses. It was so much fun with the other volunteers! And I also enjoyed just watching tv shows on Netflix because after a day of work in the barn sitting in the warm and comfy cottage, cuddling with the dogs and watching some cool tv shows was everything I want! :)
Lin also took as out for different occasions! We went to the Japanese (you needed to roll us over the street because we had so much to eat :D) and to a pizza place. Thanks for that Lin!
I had a lot of fun at Lins farm and I´m glad I´ve spend two months there!
If you are an animal lover this is the place to be!
Lin is super honest in her profile. Everything is written on there so read it carefully and nothing will surprise you. So be honest with her to. And if you´re respectful with her and the animals and you like to laugh and experience the farm life and you will have an amazing time there!
And don´t forget to smile! ;)

I´m grateful that I decided to stay with you an your farm and that I met you, Julie, Rod and all the animals and volunteers. I will always remember you!

I probably forget to mention some other awesome stuff we did. But all in all: I can just repeat myself and tell you that you really miss something if you're not staying with Lin! :)
