¡Hola! ¡Soy Molly! Soy de Vermont, en los Estados Unidos. Trabajo para una granja pequeña en el estado de Washington y quiero pasar el invierno viajando antes de regresar a la finca en la primavera. ¡Estoy emocionada por conocer a gente nueva, mejorar mi español, y tener la experiencia de trabajar y aprender sobre la agricultura en nuevos lugares!

Me interesa la agricultura sostenible, la política, y el sistema alimentario. Durante la universidad dirigí un pequeño jardín para estudiantes y trabajé en proyectos sobre acceso a la comida. Trabajé por tres años para una organización sin fines de lucro, apoyando a agricultores, trabajadores, y la agricultura local. ¡Durante mi viaje, espero ganar experiencia con nuevas prácticas agrícolas y aprender de agricultores y jardineros locales!

Me gusta caminar, trabajar en el jardín, cocinar, y hacer arte. Me encanta pintar y coser. Me gustaría pasar tiempo con gente nueva y explorar. Mi español es intermedio, pero estoy cómoda comunicando y quiero mejorar mis habilidades a través de inmersión. El objetivo principal de mi viaje es practicar español.

Hello! My name is Molly. I grew up in Vermont, in the United States. I am currently working on a small vegetable farm in Washington, but am taking the winter off to travel before returning for the spring farming season. I am so excited meet new people, improve my Spanish, and experience farming in new places!

I am passionate about sustainable agriculture and food access. I've gardened for many years, did food justice work in college, and worked for three years for a non-profit organization supporting farmers, farm workers, and local agriculture. While traveling, I hope to gain experience with different growing practices and learn from local farmers!

I love to hike, garden, cook, and make art. I enjoy painting and sewing. I am hoping to spend a lot of time meeting new people and exploring! My Spanish is intermediate, but I'm comfortable communicating and am excited to improve my language abilities through immersion! Language learning is one of my main goals.

¡Me encantaria practicar mi español! He estudiado español por muchos años y me siento cómoda hablando, pero quiero mejorar y tener más confianza. ¡Mi objetivo es hablar con fluidez en el futuro! Me interesa ayudar a otras personas a practicar su inglés también, pero prefiero pasar la mayor parte del tiempo hablando español y quedarme con gente hispanohablante. I would love to practice my Spanish! I have studied Spanish for many years and am comfortable having conversations, but would like to gain confidence. My goal is to be fluent some day! I am happy to help others practice their English as well, but would ideally like to spend most of my time speaking Spanish and staying with Spanish-speaking hosts.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Tengo experiencia en agricultura. Durante los últimos cuatro meses trabajé en una granja de verduras en el estado de Washington. En este trabajo gané experiencia con la siembra y cosecha de verduras.

Antes de trabajar en la finca, era coordinador en una organización sin fines de lucro, apoyando a agricultores y la agricultura local. Como estudiante, dirigía un jardín en el campus y organizaba eventos para estudiantes.

Me encanta colaborar en proyectos, y me gusta aprender cosas nuevas. Prefiero trabajar en proyectos en agricultura o en el jardín, pero estoy abierta a muchos tipos de trabajo. Soy artística y me gusta pintar.

I have recent farming and gardening experience. I have been working full time as a crew member on a vegetable farm in Washington state for the past four months. Through this job I've gained experience with planting, weeding, harvesting, and packing produce. I'm comfortable lifting heavy things, working in all weather conditions, and doing hard work!

Prior to farming, I was a program coordinator at a non-profit organization supporting farmers and promoting local agriculture. I have experience with outreach, grant-writing, data management, and event coordination.

As a student, I managed an on-campus garden, led gardening workshops for student volunteers, and coordinated events related to food justice. I worked with another non-profit to manage urban gardens at schools across my city.

I have experience working with many different people, love collaborating on projects, and am open to learning new things! I am most excited about gardening and farming-related projects, but am open to lots of types of work. I am artistic and enjoy painting. I don't have much experience with building things but am interested in learning!
