Hey!

Classic, I love to travel and learn about other cultures. That's why I'm looking for Workaways to connect me with locals to see what the true experiences of the people living in the country are: their values, their successes, their hardships, their food and their culture. Documentaries are great; locals' stories are even better.

About me, since moving to Bordeaux in France, I have participated in many workaways which have been fulfilling, and to this day we remain friends with regular contact (cat sitting). Professionally, I working in rehabilitation clinics focussing on the mind-body connection for improved quality of life and holistic healing.

I grew up close to the Rocky Mountains in Canada, so I like to do outdoor activities. Kayaking, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, gardening, farming, farm life etc. I also really enjoy baking, especially new recipes from around the world (are you sensing a theme?). Anyways, the obvious follow-up question is; am I any good at baking? I would say yes, my friends would say it's most definitely edible, but it's up to you to decide for yourself ;)

Quais são suas habilidades?

Throughout high school and university, I worked in customer service (barista, server). Gardening, taking care of pets, and other manual skills such as knitting are not foreign either as I love getting my hands dirty with some good old-fashioned labour. Google is also a useful tool for quick skill development such as declogging a bathtub, or fixing the toilet ;)

With my current profession, my skills are focussed on the holistic benefits of physical activity, like how it can improve mental health, confidence, physical abilities etc. So I can help heal physical and mental ailments through sport.

All of these experiences resulted in good listening skills, the ability to personalize care/ interactions, and the ability to improve and think on the spot. All this with good humor and a " it'll all pan out" mindset.
