After visiting a close friend in Australia, I quite my job, left my house share in Germany, and spontaneously decided to come to New Zealand.

I'm looking for a calm wholesome environment where I can do outdoor work. I really enjoy working with my hands and problem solving.

I have a background in ecology and love learning about ecosystems and very interested in herbs and birds, but open to anything environmentally! I have worked in environmental education and spent time in some remote islands helping with bird ringing.

I also have experience in event rigging (climbing into high roof spaces to help prepare for concerts), basic stone masonry as I've worked for a stone sculptor, and gardening (I designed a small garden space and planting guide for a local social welfare organisation in Berlin). I'm really interested in learning about wood working. All in all, I'm a practical person who loves physical work.

I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors and in nature, and would love to learn from/with you and to share my knowledge. I enjoy making music with others and jamming. Respectful and transparent communication is important to me.

I have been dealing with chronic vestibular migraine for the past four years that affects me more or less on a daily basis. I have discovered big triggers are sitting down for almost any amount of time, and too much sensory input like in city life, and some foods. Moving is good, and working with my hands really helps.

I'm looking for a calm place with good structure where I can work independently. It allows me to shift tasks, move and change positions frequently.
I must say, I like to do things well and properly to make sure they both last, and do the job.

If you think we could be a good fit, I'd love to talk more and learn about current tasks you need help with, work hours, living and food arrangements, and other expectations. I have done workaway in Sardinia and had a positive experience.

I am staying in NZ until early February.

Im interested in Permaculture and Terra Preta as well as sustainable / off grid housing.

I know the basics of stone masonry and am good and thourough at manual labour.

Im comfortable and calm with animals.

I have worked in tourist guiding (environmental education) and as a student tutor.

I cleaned a physio practice for many years so I am A at cleaning ;)

I can fix a bike tire, bike breaks and basic bicycle work. I can also drive a car and van.

In general I can be enthusiastic for all kinds of works.

Oh and I cook some excellent dishes when needed.
